06.01.2022 The Chief Minister has announced Greater Sydney will be removed from the Northern Territory's list of coronavirus hotspots early next month, if the number of ca...ses there remains low. Currently, anyone who travels to the NT who's recently spent time in Sydney has to undergo two weeks of supervised quarantine at their own expense. The government plans to revoke that requirement from October 9, unless there is a change in the situation in Sydney. There is now a sustained, downward trend of new cases in Sydney, Mr Gunner said. The contact tracing and containment system is superb, they are catching and containing the virus very quickly. We are deliberately waiting another four weeks, two full replication cycles, so we can keep seeing the trend go down.
