25.01.2022 Day 3 and 4 ... this was one of those fun start projects and then I was unhappy with the way the flowers constantly turned over ... of coarse the fundamental of heavy falls down just skipped me that day... so it got thrown in the later box... now the answer is obvious just make a flower on each side ...yay.. so it was a little more difficult because I was lazy and did not take the rows off the clasp section so the thread keep tangling in the embellishment but finished it while staying out of the heat on saturday..

23.01.2022 Jan 2 .... so I know I am not going to get to finish something every day but boy it felt good to finish another project yesterday... all it needed was about 50-60cm of spiral rope to finish a colour sample of my chrysanthemum lariat rope kit this is the second colour sample (the other is in teal blue) ... so by this stage of making a kit I have already made up and remade the project about 5 times so I can check and recheck the pattern, so lots of colour samples just get put in the never never box...

20.01.2022 Its Here at last ... yes My Kiss III book was released at Melbourne Bead Society Expo in November (and sold out) but for those of you not able to attend I am holding the price at $45 ($5 for postage) the same until 30th December as a special bonus... for the second print. Whats in it ? Projects : The Book contains 20 full projects ranging from beginner to advanced. Lots of add in items like how to make a toggle and bar, flourishes to add to simple ropes, capturing, etc. ... How to : each stitch section has a how to start, work, increase, decrease and finish the stitch section for quick reference. Diagrams : for those of you who love a visual explanation of how to I have included lots of diagrams. Just send me a message and I will organise a postal deliver or call by the studio and pick up a copy.

20.01.2022 Day 14-16 found this in the bottom of the unfinished box ... it was just a bit of fun that started because hubby made the hollow beads and was going to throw them in the smash box as he said they were ugly... but all it needed was some fun bead work with it ... yes they are still ugly but interesting hay...

19.01.2022 Just a quick note for Saturday 21st class ladies ... I have my granddaughter dance recital at 1 so class will finish at 12 ... feel free to come a little early if you like ... but I have to be out of here by 12.15... can't wait to see you all

18.01.2022 I just want to let all the my customers know that starting from Dec 1st Swarovski has decided to STOP yes I said stop supply of loose crystals, pearls, stones and components. They have decided to refocus and re-position Swarovski in the "attainable luxury segment". Unfortunately they are no longer interested in supplying quality loose crystals to designers and makers. I ask you how can a company who's founder David Swarovski over 125 years ago made the foundation of his company the manufacture and sale of loose crystal make such a fatal mistake... this will be the end of Swarovski ... we have all seen those expensive stores in expensive shopping centres with more staff than customers ... when a manufacture stops making there core products they were built on for over 125 years it can only end one way..... A sad day for us all...

17.01.2022 So I did nothing for a couple of days just all that bookwork and packing beads to be done ... but I pulled this out of my unfinished box and it was going originally to be a Laura McCabe style ball with crystals ...they are vintage dentils with deep backs ... but it kind of morphed into a tassel top.. I like it so much I think I will make some more... I hang them from keys in cupboards around the house and they look great.

16.01.2022 January 1st So many years ago while discussing in despair how many unfinished project I had to work on my son said to me mum just nike it... huh what do you mean ... well you know "just do it" ... but when ... make a time he said like 3 or 4 times a year to only finish stuff... So was born "J" months ... all the months that start with J are now assigned to just finishing projects ... or as we call it around here 'just finish it month' ... so in honour of January here is my f...irst unfinished ... YAY now finished project... I will try to take a photo before and after tomorrow....it is a simple little bead knitted skirt... I had threaded the beads and had cast on the first row and then put it away ...

13.01.2022 So every body is talking about Peyote with a twist ... thought I would give it a go... here is my play ... I'm not completely happy with the graph and colours yet and I have played with a different number of start beads ... but it has a nice effect and is simple...I finished one end to see how that was also (think I will use a cap end) And here is my recent carrier necklace it is a nasturtium vine

08.01.2022 Hi everyone well I dont want to add to the general panic that seems to be everywhere at the moment but I have decided not to teach class on Saturday the 21st March and cancelling the two class days for April 4th and 18th ... as those of you that have been to the studio know it is closely aligned to our home and as hubby is worried about me being an at risk person so as a precaution we are just continuing open hours but keeping good hygiene with lots of hand wash and wipe downs with disinfectant. Hope you are all safe and well. Annlee
