I know that standing up there in front of your tribe can be nerve wracking. I know not everyone likes the idea of being vulnerable or making the microphone your best friend (like me). But, what I tell every single one of my AMAZING couples is that at the end of the day, its the 3 OF US up there, having a chat, saying some sweetness and most of all, gettin our LAUGH ON. 20.01.2022 <> We are already 10 days in to 2020 and I can honestly say the new decade certainly hasnt begun like I expected. Ive been shaken to the core with the devastation around this beautiful country of ours, Ive launched back into weddings with couples that have made me sob those happy tears because love just grips me, weve farewelled my husbands amazing grandmother who always encouraged us to live a life that was extraordinary and my ext...ended tribe gained a plus 1 with my cousin and his wife bringing their first bubba earthside. AND, ITS ONLY DAY 10. So, as I lie here still not knowing the right words to say and more often than not feeling a little helpless, I realise that this year will just be another chance to embrace the light and shade, the big and the little, the celebrations and the obstacles. 17.01.2022 <> Meet Dan and Alix. Two of the most sincere, joyful and f*kin FABULOUS humans Ive been lucky enough to meet. Plan A was a wedding at a gawjus golf club with their rockin tribe. 10.01.2022 <> Yup, it was about this time 2 weeks ago, I had just finished hitchin two rad AF humans during RNB Fridays Live at HBF Park (with the help of the extraordinarily generous Marielle Studio , Amanda Afton Photography and @perthelopementco ) To say it went well would be a truly phenomenal understatement. Somewhere between the sick beats and the twerking masses around us, I managed to YELL the ceremony and my couple slid into married life with the gre...atest of ease; giant grins, fist pumps and ALL. We werent on stage. There was no articles or interviews about it. In fact, I wasnt even aware people knew it was happening (given me phone decided not to load anything onto the gram ) until someone I saw recently told me they had been there that day and had watched us all walking through the crowd with purpose, hand in hand, ready to get our wedding on. But I didnt do it for socials; for an attempt at 5 seconds in the limelight or any misguided notion of it being newsworthy. I did it for one simple reason - IT WAS ON MY LIST. This amazing honour of celebrating love isnt something I take lightly at all. And, as the years keep flying by, I yearn for more and more ways to take the road less travelled and to find the unique, the uncommon and the unusual. 05.01.2022 HAPPY SUNDAY LOVERS I hope youre out there makin the most of this long weekend sunshine (in Perth anyway ) This is a bit of a lengthy post and Im #sorrynotsorry. You probs didnt sign up for extended reading today but bear with me pretty puh-lease. ... Too often when I scroll the gram and see all the fkin fabulousness thats put out there in the world, I get that HOLY SHIT THATS AWESOME moment followed quickly by this nauseating doubt. It creeps on in and hunkers down and makes me question way too much. You see, anxiety is a real slippery mofo and it gets me. Damn it gets me GOOOOOOD. Some days the self doubt is so deafening I cant even hear myself hum hip hop/rnb tunes ... and thats just not a life I like. But today, Im changing the narrative.
