25.01.2022 Centenary Christmas Carols last night celebrated 33 years. Kiwanis has been a part of this for as long as any of us can remember. It's always a pleasure to spend time volunteering in our local community at this time of year. New restrictions and the extreme Queensland heat did not discourage over 2,000 enjoying the evening.

24.01.2022 Every Kiwanis club has a Management Committee, which consists of the traditional roles of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. In addition we nominate additional Committee Members (Directors). The Directors roles are to ensure ensure smooth club operations, lead club initiatives, and to undertake that the Management Committee make decisions with the club’s best interests in mind. Two of our members have agreed to fulfil these roles for the 2020/21 year and re...ceived acknowledgement and pins to signify this duty. Well done and thank you to Trish and Stephen!

06.01.2022 Registration is NOW OPEN for our Basket Buddies program 2020! Basket Buddies is a community of volunteers across Brisbane who are willing to add an extra (nomin...ated) item or two to their shopping basket each week leading up to Christmas. By December, youll have 2 bags of groceries ready to donate to a Family in need. Our Basket Buddies program also includes bags for the Homeless and Baskets for Singles who may be living alone. We anticipate that the need for support this Christmas will be massive! The effects of COVID-19 have been far reaching within our local community. People whove never had to ask for help before now find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Our goal is to deliver 1200 Family baskets, 300 Homeless bags and 200 Singles Baskets to those in need. But we cant do it without you, Brisbane! Basket Buddies is a great way to volunteer without taking up too much time, and a fantastic way to teach kids about the importance of giving to others less fortunate. REGISTER HERE: https://www.brisbanebasketbrigade.com/basket-buddies Once registered, youll receive the official shopping list to follow. LETS DO THIS, BRISBANE!!!
