23.01.2022 I read on this page comment section, that kiwi's in Australia, should go home, or NZers in NZ should pay for NZer's in Australia or it's a NZ Issue. I understand the opinion's, but the fact of the matter is, people are suffering, and need immediate help. NZers that are struggling in Australia, please view my youtube and FB channel for information on where to receive support. In regards to WELFARE, WELFARE should be available to all, not just selective groups, there is a ter...m called Human rights, as a Human, we should all have the values of helping one another, weather you're Australian or Not. Australia is a multi-cultural country, ever since the Europeans arrived on Indigenous soil. So in that statement - FAIR PLAY should be used. ANZAC has a meaning and a bond set in blood, we as HUMANS once again, should help one another, and we shouldn't discriminate against those who only wants to enjoy life and live in peace. 11.01.2022 I'm glad that some kiwis in the workforce or those who lost jobs recently are entitled to income during this epidemic timeframe. Hopefully Scott Morrison could loosen his belt even more to help kiwis on svc 444 that ain't entitled to support. I do charity and busking to earn my income, but now with the restrictions, I have to rely on my savings. ... Sorry I can't help anyone at this moment via groceries. I always wondered what happen to this bro, looks like he ended up back in NZ, which is awesome, and now he's doing a course. Check out the clothing he created. Man Simon was a talented bro, and had awesome design's when he was doing his printing on TShirts back in the Homeless days. Today the Australian Prime Minister delivered a clear message to all New Zealand Citizens living in Australia (his words).... ... If you are not a (Australian) citizen, and you violate our laws, then under my government's policies you will not be allowed to remain. You will be returned to the citizenship nationality, which is what I define as your 'home'." Those who were born in Australia, or have become citizens through our formal process - citizens of Australia enjoy the rights and entitlements and obligations of being citizens. No one else Anyone else who doesn't hold the title of 'citizen of Australia' does not get a special deal. Doesn't matter how long you've been here. It doesn't matter whether you turned up yesterday or many years ago What I know... Most reading this will be outraged and agree with the views of the NZ Prime Minister. The reality is that Australia has the right to make laws based on national security and the NZ government has no power to change this (they continue to try and influence). Young people are being deported too. If you have kids who are under 18, look to protect their futures early. There are cases of young people in their late teens and early 20’s being deported, after almost a lifetime in Australia. They are forced to a country they barely know and separated from the entire family unit. The government is not only serious about these laws and policy and following through, they are in the process of making the laws tougher (known as strengthening the character test and the Bill is before the senate). The way to protect yourself is citizenship. You may need to first explore your pathway to permanent residency and ultimately citizenship. It can be a long and costly but one well worth the investment for your families future. I know I am on repeat with this message. My passion for this comes from working with so many NZC families who are being torn apart by these laws. The ripple effect on an entire family and community is devastating.
