16.01.2022 And a new adventure begins... This has been my Kyokushin Karate home since 2004. From a student I became a teacher and with a lot of hard work and loyal students, I became the dojo owner. Seeing the Mt Druitt dojo team work together today as we packed and emptied the dojo really reminded me why I love my job. ... As one door closes, another one opens but my whole Mt Druitt dojo family is with me and for that, I’m so thankful. So many memories in this place but excited for the new ones ahead! But for now, so long and farewell to Kyokushin Karate Mt Druitt dojo, even though we are no longer training here.... this dojo will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to all parents and students who tirelessly helped us move all of our equipment to the new dojo. I say this time and time again, without you all, this dojo wouldn’t be possible and today was a clear example of that. You all sacrificed your time and energy for our dojo and for that, THANK YOU! #karatefamily #newbeginnings

16.01.2022 The day has finally come! After 13 years of teaching, guiding and nurturing my students and while building up my small business, someone has decided to spread lies about me and our dojo. Please look at the following 3 images, read it and forward this to everyone you know. I wish I could find out who this is, as right now I can only guess. ... First thing to see in the morning... one person who wrote a review about our dojo saying we are disrespectful and they don’t recommend anyone take karate classes from us. It was broad review and there was no specifics about us (easy way to figure out it was a fake review) Anyway, I’m posting this up because it’s on google’s review site and it will never go away. I can’t believe someone would falsely accuse me of something so bad. When will the lies, gossip and negativity end? The funny think is that they mention trainers, as everyone knows I’ve been the only instructor at our dojo. I don’t even have assistant instructors as no student is 1st Dan yet. Also, you can see in the 3rd image they have only reviewed one place (our old dojo) and 1 starred a school. I don’t care if people review our dojo in a negative way..... as long as it comes from a truthful source and not a fake name on the internet behind the screen. What this lie does, is scare off any potential students and ruin my reputation. That is why I am taking this so personally. Please share this on your timeline and tell everyone to do the same. It’s not fair people playing with other people’s livelihood, especially when the review is fake and especially during these times when small business are struggling to survive. #karatefamily #supportsmallbusinesses #localbusinessowners #spreadlove

12.01.2022 Oyama Sosai on Kata! These days many people specialise in show Karate kata tournaments, knowing only movements, but no applications. Let's learn the basics of throws, takedowns, chokes and locks such that we can truly start to know kata!

11.01.2022 Hi guys, Just a reminder that we are open during school holidays, however we are closed all public holidays. Now with that said, the dojo will be closed on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of October as we will be fixing the dojo.... - installing ropes - new lights - new door locks - sound system etc. To compensate our closure we will be open on Monday 5th of October (Labour Day Public Holiday) however we will only be running 2 classes on that day. - Beginner Class 5-6pm - Intermediate Class 6-7:30pm Please let me know if you are definitely coming on that day as I know some students and parents have plans for that day. On Monday I will be handing out our new class timetable that will be effective from 1st of October. (Only real change is for Saturday classes) Have a great weekend. Osu!
