22.01.2022 FRIDAY NIGHT | The forecast is for rain this Friday, but not much. We are planning to run Program B - which means walks for the U10 & U11s at 6:15pm. If it is wet and we are still able to run, we may run the Wet Weather program - this program is designed to take out events where slips on wet grass can be dangerous, such as hurdles, high jump and javelin. We will make a final decision at 5:30pm - we want to have every opportunity for the kids to run. If that decision is to can...cel or run Wet Weather we will post it on Facebook, Instagram, TeamApp (https://kllac.teamapp.com) and in WhatsApp (https://chat.whatsapp.com/FXqIlFSW9t9GpQLqRl8BZ9) Please don’t message asking if we are running - the committee all work and cannot take time to respond to every message. Athletes in U9 - U12s will qualify through a Regional Championship. Our Region, Region 6, will be held on 20 & 21 February at Blacktown International Sports Park. The qualifying times have been taken from last year's Region events. Athletes will need to set a qualifying mark at a sanctioned LANSW event, (which includes KLLAC or at a gala day) to be eligible for consideration. Numbers will be limited in accordance with the Public Health Orders that are in force at the time. KLLAC will be notified of successful athletes by 15 January 2021. Athletes wishing to be considered for the Region Championships should email [email protected] with their intended events (maximum of 4). Nominations are to be made to KLLAC by 24 December. Our three week program may limit the opportunities for athletes to achieve the qualifying mark. We will look at opportunities to have qualifying events. U13 - U17 athletes - we understand that there will be direct qualifying for the State Championships. Qualifying marks are yet to be provided. #kllac #KingsLangleyLittleAthletics #COVIDSafe #LittleAthletics #familyfunfitness

13.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW continues to closely monitor the ongoing developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with a view to ensuring the health and... wellbeing of the Little Athletics NSW community and the possible implications for Little Athletics as a sport. Following from our announcement on Friday that the State Championships would not be taking place last weekend, we can now confirm that the 2020 State Track & Field Championships have been officially cancelled. This is the first time in the history of Little Athletics in NSW, that a State Championship has not been held and unfortunately this means there will be no Little Athletics NSW State Track & Field champions recognised for 2020. It is regrettable that circumstances in respect of the coronavirus pandemic led to this decision and while we understand its impacts, we believe that given the circumstances and the rate of pace of change of information and advice, this decision was the appropriate one. Little Athletics, like everybody else, must do what we can to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Regarding the Australian Little Athletics Championships scheduled to be held on the 18th and 19th April in Canberra, we are expecting a decision from Little Athletics Australia later today and will provide an update once that has been received. We remind everyone of the need to continually monitor and adhere to the advice being issued by the various health authorities. We will also be providing further information and advice relevant to our members on our website, as it comes to hand, and encourage everyone to check back regularly for the latest update. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and understanding as we continue our commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our members and the community. All updates in regards to Little Athletics New South Wales and the COVID-19 pandemic will be posted on the dedicated page on our website which can be found here: https://bit.ly/2WkSDba UPDATE 7:30PM 17/03/2020 Little Athletics Australia have released a statement on the Australian Little Athletics Championships please head to their facebook or our website to see full statement.
