15.01.2022 We have made it even easier for your Family Law appointment! Effective Monday 30 March 2020 our staff will be working remotely which means you don’t need to leave your home to see us! Whether you’re isolating or social distancing you won’t need to worry about attending our office. We’ll be offering the same service we always have, only now by way of 2 of our 3 usual ways. We will still be offering telephone and video conferencing. The only method we aren’t using is face to fa...ce meetings. Now you can meet with us in your PJs and not be judged because you’re at home (because we will be too!!). If you need to have something signed or deliver something, either contact us or we’ll contact you to make arrangements. All our contact details will still be the same - same phone number and same emails. Stay safe and stay healthy and we’ll see you on the other side!

We have had such great feedback about our online booking process hear it from a recent client who used it! it was such as easy process, booking online and completing your online questionnaire follow the bouncy ball! I started the process about 18 months ago and was sent some things to do from another firm but I looked at it and said that’s too hard. Your process has been a breath of fresh air, really easy!

11.01.2022 You might know her as Hayley, but we know her as HG! This is HG waving goodbye! Why, today is her birthday. She's had 8 birthdays with us, she was a teenager back then!... That's 8 years of not working on her birthday, it's our hard and fast rule that no one works on their birthdays'! Non negotiable! And we're not jerks about it, it doesn't come from any sort of leave - it's our birthday gift, you get the day off and you still get paid for it. 09.01.2022 Team Meeting - and all we can say is #TGIF! We made the decision that yesterday just didn't happen (we all had a bad day yesterday!). Wynnita is not at the meeting because she is sick... #notcorona! Whilst Bronti made an appearance at the team meeting this morning, she is in restricted movement due to a tear in her cruciate ligament... she is booked in for surgery on Tuesday... Upshot of meeting is that Hayley has realised that she is not restricted in movement as she has a laptop! Today was therefore brought to you from Hayley's balcony! Also, interesting fact learnt today - snakes have no eye lids. Their eye is actually covered by a scale that is shed when they shed their skin! #funfactfriday #random!

Are you, or do you know anyone who is (i.e. friend, family, client/customer), having issues with the care arrangements for their kids? Or have you or they just separated and want to know what may need to happen? You, or they, will have some important decisions to make and actions to take (or not to take!) those actions and decisions have the potential to impact on the kids, and the co-parenting relationship in either a positive or negative way. Don’t put yourself in a worse position get the information you need now to make sure you are doing the right things and things runs smoothly.

02.01.2022 Today is World Ovarian Cancer day. In 2019 1,046 women died from this silent killer and one of those women was a friend, colleague and mentor to us here at KLP and was the one who shone the light on this silent killer (being women and not even realising that a pap smear will detect this cancer was an eye opener!). We know the current times are tough for everyone but we ask that you part with a few dollars to donate to the Janice Mayes Ovarian cancer Research Grant organised by Townsville's Ovarian Cancer team help them reach their goal of $50,000.
