17.01.2022 CITIZENSHIP CHANGES: Any proposed change by Peter Dutton and Malcolm Turnbull to the Citizenship Act 2007 must pass through the House of Representatives (it will) and the Senate (it may not). As of today, the laws remain unchanged.... 15.01.2022 457 VISA APPLICANTS: Unless your occupation happens be on the MLTSSL (previously the SOL), your 457 visa will now only be approved for 2 years instead of 4. This applies to all new visa applicants AND all currently undecided applications that are in the system. This will of course have significant knock-on effects for any subsequent PR transition.
