11.01.2022 A reworked version of the board I took to Hawaii in 1978. 2" shorter and an inch wider. You ride these way further forward than today's boards. Comes with 100% glass Australian made fins. In stock at Munro Surfboards in Byron Bay.

10.01.2022 I ride 4 finned boards 90% of the time but make myself a tri fin at regular intervals, so as to keep my finger on the pulse. During lock down, I made myself a scaled up version (to suit my weight and height) of what Chayne and Albert ride 5'10. 23 1/2".2 1/2".Had my first surf on it today. As usual took about 5 waves until my brained clicked into tri fin mode. Had a ball on it but no airs or radical turns as per Chayne and Albert!! . Now that we can travel again, my next Byron Bay shaping stints starts about 22nd June. Call 0408663862 or e mail [email protected] for orders.

09.01.2022 Another EPS with stringer , 6oz glass, epoxy resin. Drive and stability with this fin set up but you will need juice when running all 5.

08.01.2022 Just finished a 5'8" x 23 1/2" area round tail for myself and summer waves. EPS blank and stringer 6oz glassing with a couple of carbon strips under knee area. Still came in at around 3 kg which is a good weight and strength combo.

07.01.2022 7/7/77- 40 years ago we were surfing Padang in Bali with a handful of guys and taking turns.Everyone on single fins. I had a 5'.10" Richard Evans shape, made in Botany at BJ's factory. Cord legrope with black rubber around it . Windensea brand by Gary Brosnan.We had to walk in in from uluwatu and climb down a bamboo ladder and hung on the Ulu side of Padang. A few Maroubra , Bronte and USA guys. Sometime the girls from Ulu would bring soft drinks down to us in a bucket-not very cold but appreciated. Classic days that June and july The date 7/7/77 always sticks in mind. i can't find the photos but they are somewhere other than in my mind. It's a blow out when i see how it is now.
