22.01.2022 Victorian Chief Health Officer message to parents I am writing to Victorian parents, carers and students today to seek every familys support in slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. As the school holidays approach, we cant ease up on looking after ourselves and our families. The only thing between us and a second wave is what we do next.... Wherever you go, please be mindful of the risks. Be aware others may be carrying the virus and practice physical distancing. We are currently experiencing the highest case numbers weve seen in more than two months. Current evidence suggests that the rise in case numbers in Victoria is being driven by families having get-togethers and not following advice around physical distancing and hygiene. Unfortunately, we are still in a pandemic and peoples lives are still at risk. As weve seen across the world, this virus has the ability to turn a small number of cases into hundreds in a matter of days. This is not where we want to be and we must all act now while we can. This is why weve had to implement a number of revised restrictions. The number of visitors you can have at your home is now reduced to five. Outside the home, families and friends can meet in groups up to ten. This is how each and every member of the community can help: Stay safe while out in the community. Stay safe at home. And that means only seeing those you need to. Dont have big family gatherings and remember to keep your distance and maintain good hygiene. Dont share food or drinks. If you, or anyone in your family is feeling unwell stay at home. Dont visit friends and family. Dont go on holiday if you are unwell and dont go to work. Dont send your kids to school, childcare or kindergarten if they are unwell - stay home. And if you have symptoms, get tested. The vast majority of Victorians are doing the right thing, but this is a wake-up call and we cannot be complacent. Its up to all of us to keep our friends and families safe. For current information and updates on coronavirus (COVID-19) visit the Victorian Governments coronavirus website. If anyone in your family has any of the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, they should stay at home, seek advice and get tested. These symptoms include fever, chills or sweats, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose, or loss of sense of smell or taste. For more information about where to get tested visit the getting tested for coronavirus web page. If youre concerned yourself or a family member has contracted the virus and need more information, please call the 24-hour coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398. Adj Clin Prof Brett Sutton Victorian Chief Health Officer

12.01.2022 Some more positive news for Knox and the outer east as the number of active covid19 cases continues to decline. Knox's number remains unchanged from yesterday a...t 3 active cases. It is encouraging to see Mannignham and Cardina now have no cases joining Yarra Ranges, Monash, Maroondah and Whitehorse. Greater Dandenong has had some improvement, now the same as Knox at 3 active cases. There has been no change for Casey, still sitting on 19 active cases. Overall Victoria's cases increased by 73 (72 new and 1 reclassified). The majority of these are in the hot spot locations in Melbourne's north. The testing blitz and localised door knocking efforts have resulted in 1000's of tests having been taken which is helping to identify these previously unknown cases. In today's update I have made note of the number of people in hospital and ICU. This will be something to keep an eye on. Whilst I have confidence that our medical system is better prepared for increased numbers, it is not an outcome we want to see. In listening to this morning's press conference, a question was asked around who can go in and out of the hot spot suburbs identified given the stage three restrictions in place. The example given was could a person order takeaway food from a restaurant in a hot spot area that was then delivered by uber? Another question was could someone who lives in a hot spot suburb go to their gym if their gym wasn't in a hot spot area given it is exercise. I get that some people want absolute black and white clarity - a do's and don'ts checklist so to speak. The reality is this is logistically hard for any level of Government to do - providing advice on every potential scenario is just not feasible. So instead I again encourage people to use your common sense. These suburbs have been identified as having a higher risk of community transmission so do what you can to avoid putting yourself or your family at risk. I strongly encourage Knox resident's to actively avoid these areas or interaction with people who live in these areas for the next four weeks. At a more local level, please remember to adhere to the advice of the Chief Health Officer. If you are a person who has anxiety about possible local risk, then take control of your own situation and put in place strategies that give you peace of mind (you don't need the Government to tell you this). If wearing a mask gives you peace of mind, wear one. If you want to minimise interaction with crowds, keep close to home and use local strip shopping areas for your essentials. Set your own boundaries re who visits your home - if five makes you uncomfortable, continue using the phone or internet to communicate. No one will think badly of someone being over cautious at this time. Bottom line of what I am trying to say is - we can't control what others do, everyone has different degrees of risk they are willing to take for themselves and their loved ones. At a minimum, you must follow government directives but if you want to do more than this to make yourself feel safe, then that is your choice too. Let's hope Knox joins our neighbours at zero active cases by the weekend.

03.01.2022 Today we turn 8! Thank you to all our wonderful educators and families for the journey so far.

03.01.2022 Good morning families and educators, as you would most likely be aware the Prime Minister last night made some new announcements in relation to social gatherings and schools. I wont go into all the details here, but if you would like to read it here is the link; https://www.pm.gov.au/me/update-coronavirus-measures-220320 Part of this was quite clear that there has been NO CHANGE to the health advise to schools. There was also no mention of early childhood. Even though the ...school holidays have been brought forward, we have always remained opened during the holiday periods and this does not affect us. Unless we here otherwise, or we have a confirmed case of covid-19, we will be remaining open. Even though education settings are except from the 4 square metres per person rule, currently I would like to assure you that as we are running at low numbers we are running at least 4 square metres per person including educators (indoors), as when we are licenced we are required to have a minimum of 3.25 square metres of indoor space and 7 square metres of outdoor space. This really means that as we are running an indoor/outdoor program the children have a lot more than 4 square metres. We are also maintaining our hygiene practices and ensuring that the children are washing their hands often. We ask that you use the hand sanitiser on entering the building and then have your child wash their hands in the room. Common surfaces like the tablet and door handles are constantly being cleaned for everyones protection we ask that if you or your child are unwell that you stay away and let us know. Together, we will not only survive this, but, rise out from under it eventually and recover.

02.01.2022 Wishing our Families, Friends and Educators a Happy Easter.

01.01.2022 If you have this water bottle take it away from your kids immediately. #9News https://www.9news.com.au//18d51201-3303-4b11-a356-6308400a
