Every year North Ryde Community Preschool take part in the great book swap, raising money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation- gifting brand new books to remote communities who need and cherish them! This year we want to make it a community event, rather than a preschool one to not only build connections and socialise but to raise as much as possible for this great foundation. Please join us on the 4th of September at 10am in Yamble reserve, ryde. A coffee truck... and delicious baked goodies will be available to purchase with all proceeds going straight back to the great book swap! 20.01.2022 North Ryde Community Preschool was established by a group of parents in 1981. Family & community involvement is an essential part of the preschool operation & parents have an opportunity to be involved on a number of levels. The preschool is staffed by Early Childhood Teachers & Advanced Childcare Workers who encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process. Our mission is for our children to be: Confident & competent learners & communicators. ... Healthy in mind, body, spirit. Secure in a sense of belonging & in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society. Children with a range of abilities and backgrounds are integrated within the preschool, our aim being to provide an anti-bias environment in which children can develop and appreciation of the strengths, uniqueness & diversity of others & come to value these traits.
