24.01.2022 Feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more volunteering with our awesome crew

24.01.2022 KNX VFRS would like to thank our Community for all of your support, best wishes, patience and gratitude. Without you, the Community members, who stood together and helped each other over the past couple of weeks, the outcome could have been worse. A big shout out and thank you to the Sporties club for their support on Saturday. If anyone has pics, please feel free to share them on this page. Yet again, in the face of adversity, this Community stood together and showed what we are in our hearts - bloody amazing! YOU are the reason we do what we do. Cheers to the guys and gals of KNX.

23.01.2022 Breakfast of Champions! Saturday morning appliance and equipment checks done, followed by a delicious breakfast at the station as a little bit of a reward.

23.01.2022 Fan mail From Kununurra's future volunteer fire fighters :)

22.01.2022 Hi Kununurra. Just a friendly reminder to "SLOWMO" - slow down and move over when you see emergency vehicles with lights flashing. Thanks in advance for looking out for your fellow community members

22.01.2022 This prayer is traditionally read at our Firefighter Memorial Service, which is usually held on a Sunday nearest to International Firefighters' Day. These word...s are a fitting tribute to those who have embodied what it truly means to be a firefighter, to risk their lives for the safety of others. Today, we honour those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

21.01.2022 Check in on a mate today

20.01.2022 Happy hump day! Although it's not our peak fire season right now, it's always good to be aware of what Incident information is out there and how to understand it. Please check out this info from DFES.

19.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you there

16.01.2022 Got a spare 5 minutes at the moment? Its the time of year to change your smoke alarm batteries!! Woo hoo! A task for today! In all seriousness, it is that time of year. We love our Community and want you to stay safe. Take care of yourselves, your family, your friends and community.

15.01.2022 Happy (belated) International Women's Day to our amazing 'sisters', who make up 1/3 of our Brigade. These incredible mothers, daughters, partners and sisters stand shoulder to shoulder with their 'brothers' on the frontline. In our brigade their are no firemen or firewomen, only firefighters. The gender balance they bring to the Brigade enhances us all. Thank you! (L-R Nicole, Judy, Kath & Jessi)

15.01.2022 Welcome to our 2 newest probationary members, Jarrod & Jacob! Great to have you both on board

15.01.2022 Yet another busy day at fires today. Whilst it's amazing to watch the Kites flying so close to the fire to grab disturbed bugs, it would be better if they hadn't been lit in the first place.

13.01.2022 100% Professional, 100% Volunteer A couple more photos and a quick vid of the Breathing Apparatus course from the weekend. All of the drills were undertaken with hoods to impair vision, to simulate smoke filled environments for rescues and firefighting. We now have 6 more BA qualified people in the Brigade. Always looking for new members

13.01.2022 Hi Kununurra. We respectfully request that you do not set off fireworks this evening as the country is just too dry and we have limited crew as many of our memb...ers are away. Even with this weather front coming in, the risk of a preventable fires from fireworks is just too great. Thanks for your support and happy new year from our "volunteer family" to yours See more

Thank you for all that you give to us. #IWD2021 Images: Steve Stevets and Andrew Ogilvie - KNX VFRS
