25.01.2022 For those of you living in the ALBANY area and wanting to learn more about living safely alongside our fascinating native reptiles, and gaining practical skills... and experience to catch and relocate those snakes which end up in places wed rather they were not, Animal Ark will be in town on FRIDAY 21 OCTOBER to run their popular Venomous Snake Handler Training. Endorsed and licensed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPaW) successful completion of the 1 day course enables handlers to apply for a Regulation 17 licence from DPaW and to catch and relocate snakes safely. For more information visit the website, email us or give us a call on 08 9243 3044 or 0466 688 188. See more

24.01.2022 This is Vixie the Fox, she has been in our care a month now after being rescued from the side of the road after her mother had been hit by a car. We hope that having Vixie in our care we can teach people about these beautiful creatures and help people understand that they are Vermin and the affects they have on our Wildlife and Livestock. Vixie behaves a lot like a kitten and a puppy, she has her favorite toys and loves to dig holes. We do not encourage the idea of having a fox as a pet as they are Wild, and they are not easy to care for. As beautiful as Vixie is, she isnt as cuddly as she looks.

14.01.2022 May be an idea for the future :) as a family ran business we have all come up with thousands of names over the years, and the help of our community would be interactive and may lead to some potentially awesome names!!!!

13.01.2022 We here at Koala Korna Inc. would like to advise all followers that we are not officially open... However we are at all times ready to take on any injured or orphaned animals. For the next three months a lot of changes will be taking place, with a new shed and 2km of fencing going up. Please keep in mind when contacting us, that mobile range around Cheynes is shocking, so answering calls is almost impossible, along with 101 messages being just as hard to retrieve!! Sending a... message through Facebook is always easiest for us to get back to you sooner as it works with Wi-Fi. We are always happy to satisfy the curiosity of all who interested in what we do. We are insured for "Show and Tell at schools and other events. Koala Korna is also registered with the charitable foundations enabling us to collect donations. thank you all :)

12.01.2022 Success again ! We installed several of these artificial nesting tubes with help of Serpentine Jarrahdale Landcare group a year ago in Narrogin and the Carnaby...s are loving them. The Carnaby or Black Cockatoo are one of many endangered, native birds, thought to only possibly survive for another 40 to 50 years at most. Well not if we have anything to do with it ! Keep an eye out for for these playful birds and more than 150 of these nesting tubes we have installed throughout the southwest region. Thanks to SJ Landcare, suppliers and volunteers too, who offer their time to construct these nesting tubes. See more
