With Code Red fire conditions in the Mallee and Northern Country and a Total Fire Ban across the state ...we will be monitoring and responding to questions during the day. If you live in a high bushfire risk environment (in or next to grassland or bush) in the Mallee or Northern Country you should assess your risk and move to a lower risk environment this morning if necessary. 13.01.2022 What is your plan on Severe, Extreme or Code Red days? Planning for the up coming bush fire season is extremely important. It was good to see community members and brigade members attend this years workshop and start to think about or re-view their plans.

13.01.2022 Every region in Victoria is now in the Fire Danger Period. We urge all Victorians to make sure you understand the rules when it comes to fire restrictions and have a fire plan.

09.01.2022 Maintaining your property is a key fire prevention method in reducing the fire risk

07.01.2022 Lest we forget.

03.01.2022 Today, the 9th of December 2019, the fire danger rating for the West & South Gippsland is very high. With it still being reasonably green in in South Gippsland,... please don't be complacent. With the weather conditions being warmer and increased wind, there will be an increased chance of fire activity throughout the day. If you have be burning off please check your burn pile to make sure it is fully extinguished, cool to touch is what is safe. Don't light up any more burn piles today. Please be careful if you are operating machinery on the farm or mowing your grass and cleaning up your yards in preparation for the fire danger period. For more information please visit the www.cfa.vic.gov.au
