19.01.2022 Another project for ShineBright EYM in Maiden Gully. Yes, I’ve taken over the dining table again. I’m so proud to have been asked to do some pieces for the service. #koori_artist #djadjawurrungart #djaaraartist #shinebrighteym #aboriginalart
19.01.2022 During NAIDOC this year support local Aboriginal businesses. If you haven't tried some Dja-Wonmuruk yet please give it a go. Sharlee Dunolly-Lee has produced some beautiful teas with bush tucker flavours. Amazing stuff! KAD
19.01.2022 Always be proud of your business no matter what you are doing! It is your baby. It contains your heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears. I was told a few years ago to keep telling your story (LMCLP 2015) because you never know who is listening.
18.01.2022 Just a couple of little pieces just finished. Ready for the market on Sunday. Both pieces 20cm. I’m very proud of these two! Just picked up the brush to play around and was really surprised by what happened. Love it when artist creation just happens. Hope to see some of you at the Castlemaine Artists Market on Sunday. 11.01.2022 I cannot imagine not being able to call a person TIDDA as a sign of respect. I can't stand the idea of people who are not Aboriginal having ownership of my culture. If you value these things too please sign and share.

08.01.2022 After watching "In My Blood It Runs" take some time to reflect. Here are some prompts that might help. Australia's history has a Black History. It is deeper than most people will ever know or care about. It is more than skin colour, it IS in our blood.
07.01.2022 Just another example of theft of our culture. Between these companies and the flag issue it is really poor form. White people/companies making money off us. Taking our culture for your own purposes without consent is theft! Hands off our culture!
07.01.2022 Dja-Wonmuruk. Brilliant teas with bush tucker flavours. If you haven’t tried yet or are looking for something new, try them.
07.01.2022 A little project I have been working on! Personal use, not for sale.

04.01.2022 Whilst we are all currently in social isolation that doesn’t mean that everything has completely come to a stand still. Check out a new exhibition that is currently taking place (online of course) in the Living Arts Space in the Bendigo Information Centre. https://www.bendigoregion.com.au/explore-/living-arts-space Online shop - https://www.uniquelybendigo.com.au//living-art-space-shari ... 02.01.2022 The NAIDOC 2021 theme Heal Country! calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural... heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. Country that is more than a place and inherent to our identity. Country that we speak about like a person, sustaining our lives in every aspect - spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and culturally. NAIDOC 2021 invites the nation to embrace First Nations’ cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as part of Australia's national heritage and equally respect the culture and values of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders as they do the cultures and values of all Australians. For generations we have been calling for stronger measures to recognise, protect, and maintain all aspects of our culture and heritage. We are still waiting for those robust protections. This year’s theme also seeks substantive institutional, structural, and collaborative reform something generations of our Elders and communities have been advocating, marching and fighting for. Healing Country means finally resolving many of the outstanding injustices which impact on the lives of our people. It is about hearing and actioning the aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples which are the culmination of generations of consultation and discussions among our nations on a range of issues and grievances. After 250 years, our children and our future generations deserve better. We cannot afford to let pass the very real opportunity that now presents itself for reform based on a fundamental change in the relationship Australia has with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Heal Country, heal our nation. NAIDOC Week 2021 will be held from Sunday 4 July to Sunday 11 July. Each year NAIDOC week grows in stature and depth of celebrations at community, state and national level. Is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. For further information on the NAIDOC 2021 theme please visit: 2021 theme. ***This information about the 2021 NAIDOC Theme has been taken from the following site: https://www.naidoc.org.au//2021-naidoc-week-theme-announce.
