20.01.2022 Seeking recommendations for Melbourne based musicians. Drums, Bass & Keys.. The Merindas are high energy island pop, electro, R&B contemporary/Indigenous. We ar...e established and have performed regularly on festival stages, live venues, corporate & other events at various scales. Musicians must be able to travel, be professional, have decent availability to commit fairly long term to a project and work well within in a team. We have a few shows tentatively locked in towards end of year, and 2021 however due to Covid-19 and restrictions these may change. A level of commitment, and time will need to be provided intitially for rehearsals however all gigs are paid (including travel, accommodation, per diems, etc for interstate shows). Hit us up or tag anyone you know that might be keen! See more

20.01.2022 As we all know, COVID-19 is serious and it is an overwhelming time for all of us. There are ways we can keep our mob and wider community healthy and safe and we... can all play a part in keeping our community safe. From this Sunday 11.59pm, everyone in Victoria must wear a mask or face covering (with only some exceptions), not just Melbourne metro and Mitchell Shire. Community transmissions are high and our community numbers are still increasing. We know it is a hard time, but remember that a mask not only protects ourselves, but our Elders, families, friends, and the wider community. It is our responsibility to minimise the spread within our community and to follow the guidelines. Remember if you have symptoms - get tested, for yourself, and for our mob! Keep an eye out for deadly businesses with reusable masks, but in the meantime contact VAHS and VACCHO if you need one. Remember to also try to stay up to date as guidelines are constantly changing. 13.01.2022 Hey you mob! On 13 SEPTEMBER 2020 there will be an easing of Stage 3 & 4 restrictions at 11.59pm. So until September 13 its business as usual throughout Metro...politan Melbourne in Stage 4 and regional Victoria (including Mitchell Shire) in Stage 3. Our mob have done so well in keeping confirmed cases down in Victoria and this easing is a welcome change for all of us. So its now more important than ever we remember the work weve been putting in to get here. Please keep following restrictions so that were as close to normal by the end of the year. We will post these easing of restriction details this coming week when the details are locked in, and its clear that confirmed case numbers have dropped enough to move forward. Restrictions will be reviewed again 28 September, 26 October & 23 November. Even with restrictions easing, remember to keep getting in touch with your local GP or ACCO to get your regular health checks as well as getting tested and isolating until you get your results. Get tested even if youre showing the mildest cold or flu symptoms. Its also really important we reach into our supports right now. If you want to chat to mob anonymously, wed encourage to call Yarning SafenStrong. Theyre available 7 days a week - all hours. Be safe you mob, and look after each other Please go to http://www.vaccho.org.au//coronav/what-we-all-need-to-know so you can keep up-to-date with all the new information as so much as changed. 10.01.2022 A lot has changed in all of our lives this year, but celebrating LGBTIQ young people remains as important as ever. Thats why Im encouraging everyone to do som...ething to mark Wear it Purple Day on Friday 28 August, to remind LGBTIQ young people that they are loved and supported. I know Victorians are up to the challenge of doing Wear it Purple Day differently in 2020, and the great folk at Minus18 have some ideas and a toolkit of things you can do. Now is a great time to plan for how your workplace, school or organisation can celebrate this day and show LGBTIQ young people that they are valued. You can download Minus18s toolkit at https://www.minus18.org.au/campaigns/wear-it-purple-day
