Throughout the islands, the crew have been upgrading water well sheds, laying concrete extensions, installing new fencing and safety grates, upgrading pump stations including the management of existing flows, installation of water tanks, electrical works, design and construct of switch boards and much more! 24.01.2022 #FLASHBACKFRIDAY #2015 This month marks 4 years since the commencement of construction on Saibai Island in the Torres Strait. Koppens were awarded the $19 million project that included removal of the existing seawall, construction of a new seawall, wave return wall and a bund wall. To ensure we offered the client the best possible outcome and to maximise quality control, Koppens developed pre-cast concrete sea wall panels in Cairns that allowed works to be completed both on and off the project site. 02.01.2022 SPS NC1 Pump station Koppens have commenced the installation of 600mm Diameter rising main pipework in the newly constructed pump station structure. The pump station is 11.3 meters in diameter and 18m deep and has been built to replace SPS K which facilitates the sewer services to the City of Cairns.
