25.01.2022 A MEAL FIT FOR A KING! To commemorate St Stephen's Day, we have a limited special menu for this weekend! A hearty traditional Goulash soup in a home-made rye cob loaf followed by succulent Maryland with mushroom sauce & mashed potatoes... and, to top it off, a delightful Vargabéles, which is a sweet noodle cake with curd cheese, sultana & raspberry sauce! The national holiday commemorates the foundation of the Kingdom of Hungary, a milestone for our nation, and one that brought on many changes. St Stephen was responsible for adopting the Latin script, a more feudal stateship, and converting the Kingdom to Christianity. It was the latter that helped St Stephen achieve sainthood, and he was canonized by Pope Gregory VII on the 20th of August, 1083. Nowadays, the day is marked with many forms of celebrations across Hungary. See more

07.01.2022 The Korona Csarda family wishes to express its condolences to the family of one of our lovely patrons, Maria. We were saddened to hear of her passing ealier this week after a brave fight with cancer. Last year Korona Concierge had the privelege to take Maria and her younger sister Muriel back to Hungary & Transylvania to retrace their family origins - which is something we are very passionate about. Maria and Muriel relished their time back in Hungary, and we were able to doc...ument their journey as they learned more about their ancestry.
