22.01.2022 Some sad news for our Sheep Dog Trials this year!!

22.01.2022 Look at what someone found....First prize at the Korumburra Show in 1976. Such a fabulous find!

20.01.2022 And that’s a wrap, OMG. As the sun sets over Lardner Park and Farm World - Lardner Park 2021. What an absolutely fantastic event it has been. Covid safe, capaci...ty crowds, incredibly humbling and supported by all of our community services clubs and local school groups. Huge thanks to all the exhibitors and patrons who attended. And a massive call out and thanks to the whole Lardner Park board, committee and our little team. It’s a privilege to support and work with you all. Pam Ryan, Barbara Johnson, Anthony Willems, Damian Britt, Alex, Janelle, Tracey and Jeff. One of the best teams I’ve had the privilege of leading!! We had 22,500 patrons through in 3 days and from all reports multiple millions of dollars in sales and even more in qualified leads to be followed up by all exhibitors. Victoria needs more of this. Thanks also to our fabulous Strategic Partners Evans Petroleum Gippsland, Baw Baw Shire Council, TAFE Gippsland, Commonwealth Bank and Launch Networks. And our Farm world sponsors, Kubota Australia, Telstra, Traftech, ACE Industrial and The Weekly Times. Special shout to Wright Social, Rural TV Australia, WIN News Gippsland, Triple M Gippsland, 531 3GG, ABC Gippsland, Warragul Drouin Gazette and all of our media Partners. Ok, what’s next? See more

15.01.2022 Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 regulations the committee have had to make the hard decision to not run our January 2021 event. We have been holding off for ...as long as possible but due to the amount of planning that needs to be done we can not hold off any longer. Instead we will use this opportunity to give the complex some TLC ready for a massive return on January 15th 2022!

13.01.2022 Well it’s with deep regret (and slight relief to be honest ) that I will now be closing for the Christmas period I am so very appreciative of the support fr...om all the great customers who’ve helped dig me out of a covid shaped hole this year I would love to stay open a bit longer but I’ve got so much work to do between now and Christmas I just can’t take anymore on and risk disappointing people I will still be posting and I can’t wait to share with you the amazing ideas we’ve made into a reality for people’s Christmas pressies It’s been frantic yet so much fun and it’s not over yet Stay tuned over Christmas and in the new year, I’ve got some big ideas to come, which I’m sure you’ll love! From the bottom of my heart and with the utmost sincerity, thank you all so much for your continued support! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! #innovativechange #merrychristmas #muchlove

11.01.2022 Can you help with Meals on Wheels? Milpara received an email from mecwacare whom do Meals on Wheels in Korumburra. Give them a call if you are interested or h...ave any questions on 5671 6888 mecwacare is looking for volunteers to assist with the delivery of meals in the area. Volunteer shifts are 11.30 am - 1 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You could volunteer once a week, once a fortnight or even once a month. It all helps. They will supply volunteers with personal protective equipment. Most often 2 volunteers work together to deliver, one driver and one deliverer. So if their are two of you looking for something to do this would be perfect! It can be done with one person with consideration. Other considerations: - Volunteers will be supported through the on boarding process - Not have injuries that will limit their ability to lift an esky (with 2 people) - Police check is required, (a check less than 6 months old will be accepted) If you are interested in volunteering please call mecwacare at their Gippsland officer on 5671 6888.

10.01.2022 PLEASE HELP!!! I LOST MY NEW BOOK!!! Thanks to some keen eyed young locals I managed to find the pages of my first book, which inspired me to write a new TWE...NTY PAGE sequel Well you’ll never believe what happened to it today! I went down to the KORUMBURRA SHOWGROUNDS to give my book one last read; I walked round the oval and suddenly all my good memories of playing footy came flooding back and I decided to play a bit of make-believe! I was running around, dodging, weaving, side-stepping (all the things I never actually did in a real game ) and I got totally lost in the moment! So much so that when I got near the CITY-END GOAL, I threw the imaginary ball on my right boot and WHAM!! Booted the thing for miles! only I didn’t have a ball in my hand did I?... it was my BOOK!! And typical for me, just like in a game, all my TWENTY PAGES pretty much flew out of bounds on the full! - Now I’m pretty sure I heard page 1 go through the NETBALL RING and land somewhere around there it had GREEN RIBBON on it. I reckon pages 2 and 3 are visible if you’re reading page 1, both somewhere between it and the grand stand (I’d recommend carrying on walking ANTICLOCKWISE around the oval from there). Page 4 nigh on ended up in the changing rooms via the STAIRS where I used to run out. Page 5 and 6 landed pretty close together near the FLOODLIGHT tower. I guy started TAPPING THE POST when page 7 nearly hit him might have been trying to tell me something?! Page 8 landed just over the white line in THE TOP POCKET, just on the grass verge. I heard 9, 10 and 11 hit THREE SEPARATE BUILDINGS on the top wing! 12 landed on the grass verge in the OTHER TOP POCKET. Now 13, 14 and 15 went flying! One hit a TREE up the steps towards the gazebo I reckon the other landed in the gazebo! 15 hit the GAZEBO AND BOUNCED BACK towards the WOODEN FENCE near there! 16 just missed the city-end point post and landed behind the advertisement boards. 17 put a dint in the SMALL POST, out on the full still ! 18 I shanked and it rolled just left of said post! Now I’m not sure where 19 landed but it sounded like it hit the SCOREBOARD SIREN so I’d check around there. As for page TWENTY, which was wrapped in all gold ribbon well that couldn’t have been too far away! - Anyway, I was pretty embarrassed that all twenty pages missed the entire goal from 5 metres out so I did what I always used to do and feigned an imaginary injury and ran off the ground before I had chance to look for my book! So if anyone feels like reading the sequel to Ruby’s adventures you’ll have to go find it for me again!... very sorry You’ll need a very keen eye for this one so let me know how you go
