09.01.2022 NOTICE - CLUB CHAMPS WEEK 2 A couple of notes for next Monday’s club championships. 200m Hurdles early start time (6:15pm)... For those U13+ athletes wishing to run in the 200m hurdles please be ready to run from 6:15pm. We have had to do this programming adjustment to fit the event into the tight club champs program and also to spread the track events out appropriately for the senior athletes. Last Comp Night of the Year Monday is our last available comp night of the year. We have no scope for any more catch up nights. The next week is Easter followed by school holidays. So in the unfortunate event of a wash out, Club Champs Week 2 will be cancelled. In this case we will award club champions for the events based on the best times from the season (like we did during the COVID-19 cancellations of Club Champs last season). We look forward to seeing everyone at Nesbitt on Monday. KSAC

05.01.2022 Please see announcement below regarding NSW Country Championships: 2021 NSW COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS ANNOUNCEMENT MINGARA INTERCLUB TO BE RUN IN PLACE OF 2020/2021 NSW COUNTRY CHAMPS For our regional NSW athletes, coaches, parents, administrators and volunteers, we'd firstly like to thank you for your continued support and understanding in what has been the toughest season so far for our sport.... In light of the recent uncertainty of regional travel in NSW and COVID-19 restrictions over the new year period, Mingara Athletics Club, the host of this year's NSW Country Championships, and Athletics NSW have made a joint decision to postpone the 2021 Country Championships until the Summer 2021/2022 Season. However, the Mingara Athletics Club and Athletics NSW are excited to announce that a full, one-day Interclub-level meet, with Athletics Australia Permit Status, will be delivered at Mingara on Saturday, 30th January. The event grid and timetable will be released shortly, however sprint/distance/jumps/throws and walks events will all be held on this day of competition. More details around the event grid, and the timetable of the events, will be released tomorrow. We are very aware of how important the Country Championships is to our Regional NSW Athletics network, however we hope you understand our decision and very much hope to see all athletes who wish to travel and participate at the Mingara Interclub event on Saturday, 30th January. We'll be in touch with more information regarding the event shortly, and we thank our members for their understanding, and the Mingara Athletics Club for their continued support in making this event possible. Yours in Athletics, Athletics NSW
