23.01.2022 How many of you are getting ready for a Christmas lunch or dinner today? We are celebrating Christmas twice this year. I have made for one of the treats a vanilla bean cheesecake but instead of normal sugar I've used equal sugarine. Topped with fresh berries. Perfect for someone watching their sugar intake.

21.01.2022 Mr. #2 Is turning 8 on Saturday! His asked for a Fortnite cake for his classroom tomorrow :) Cake is white chocolate mudcake with white chocolate ganache.

20.01.2022 My eldest son turns 12 this weekend, I know 12 the years have gone by so quickly, I often look at him and see how much his grown and I miss the little boy I used to tuck into bed and give constant snuggles with, but with saying that it's still exciting watching him grow into a beautiful young man. His off to high school next year so this is his last ever classroom cake. What better way to go out with a bang then using his favourite candy for inspiration on his cake. Cake i...s the new trend out being a fault line cake but I've combined it with an illusion cake also. Cake is a white chocolate mudcake coloured in layers of green and yellow, vanilla buttercream icing coloured, skittles used for the fault line effect and a skittles box used for the illusion. I think his classroom is going to love this one. Happy 12th birthday Mr.#1 xx xx

Bottom layer is huge and is top deck with chocolate mudcake and white chocolate mudcake, dark chocolate ganache & white chocolate ganache. Decorated to look like Hogwarts castle walls. Middle layer is white chocolate mudcake with white chocolate ganache. Decorated into a book called "Hogwarts a History".... Top layer is dark chocolate mudcake with dark chocolate ganache. 13.01.2022 Cakes can be purchased for you to decorate yourself. Cake will be your choice of flavours etc like normal, with a white fondant covering and a pack of edible markers ready for you or your children to decorate. Please note that notice is still required for these cakes.

12.01.2022 These cookies are a RAOK (random act of kindness) going out to the local Royal Freemasons Aged care facility for the residents. My 4 boys will be handing them out to show them it's good to do things for others and expect nothing in return & have a good feeling of doing something nice for someone else. They are excited to do this tomorrow. Cookies are vanilla flavour, royal iced and hand painted.

12.01.2022 Facebook business pages keeps asking what I'm up too. Whilst I have no cakes right now to do this is what I get up to when I'm free, I still bake, but for my family. Today's lot is: Chocolate banana loaf with chocolate chips x2 Anzac biscuits Saltana crunch biscuits... These all freeze up nicely & make lunchboxes easier to do.

08.01.2022 As you probably guess, I own ALOT of cake tins and all are top range brands, this gaurentees me to get a perfect baked cake each and every time. However, preparing to bake a cake and in search of my tins, somehow my 8' pans have gone missing, cannot find them anywhere among all my cake tools, so being desperate for that size and not being able to order and wait for a delivery I headed out to the shops in search of a tin, any tin, one that will cook my cake for my son's birthd...ay because no one wants an upset child on their birthday. So I went into Coles supermarket, found these heavy based tins in a stunning rose gold colour and they were just the size I needed and not the spring tins I so despise of. Baked my cakes in them and WOW, cooked perfectly, cleaned up perfectly. I'm so impressed by these tins that if they had all the sizes I'd probably purchase them all. So the point of this post? If you LOVE to bake & don't want to spend the money on expensive baker tins then be sure to head to your local Coles and pick some of these babies up! You won't be disappointed at all. See more

Tip contents in a bowl and mix, add the wet ingredients from your own fridge to finish them off. Another bonus bit is you get a beautiful jar to keep at the end. $18 each. 07.01.2022 It's Mr.#2 boys birthday tomorrow & his getting real excited counting down the days. Sticking with his asked for theme of Fortnite I created this cake. This is No ordinary cake! This cake does something! What it does will be shown tomorrow in a video hopfully which is going to bring him even more excitement. Cake is triple layered with white chocolate and milk chocolate mudcake, milk chocolate ganache & the floss silhouette is hand cut made from fondant. ... Happy birthday to our little man!! 07.01.2022 Hi All, The doors for Kristie's Kakes & Kupcakes are now closed! I will not be taking any orders until further notice.... I've owned this cake business for 6 years & in that 6 years I've met some wonder people, have made so many cakes & I have loved working with you all. I've made some good friends along the way and I thank each and every one of you for supporting me through these years. I have not made this decision lightly, I've wanted to come back and work full time for quite awhile, however I need to be focused on my little ones right now and this makes it hard to be focused on your cakes. Our youngest child is currently being tested for Autism which means all of his therapies are about to start, I need to be there for him and have all my focus there and on my other 3 boys. For now my doors are closing, you will see every now and again cakes popping up that I have done for family & friends. During holidays I may even have a few things up for purchase. Orders will not be taken and im not sure at this point when I will be taking orders again. Thanks again from my family to yours for your understanding. Much love to you all xx xx

05.01.2022 Here is the video of Mr.#2 birthday cake as promised! Cake is my Fortnite- floss like a boss and was made to have a surprise. The surprise is that it's a Money Cake! He was so excited once he knew it was money and started yanking it to get it out quicker which resulted in it not rolling perfectly but just as fun. lol. Happy birthday my boy xx...
