06.01.2022 New season is fast approaching, our farm is slowly gearing up for winter. The vineyard is looking beautiful as the leaves on the vines are changing colour- beautiful golden greens, yellows to red. We are preparing the veggie patch - planting oats our green cover crop and soon planting our winter vegetables. We will be clearing our paddocks, chopping wood, bonfires, taking care off our grass feed Angus. We love the challenges and hard work ahead but can’t wait to get some down time. Exploring new slow cooker recipes, developing new products/ ideas. Wearing my beanie, winter coats, boots . 03.01.2022 Pruning 2020 completed. Our vines are hand pruned, the style of pruning aids us in manipulating the crop for the following year’s harvest. If the vines are not pruned each year, they would grow in uncontrolled manner thus affecting the quality of crop that is the source of our wines.
