23.01.2022 The Fete Committee is VERY pleased to share that we raised $43k at our Fete on August 5th. This is thanks to our core team of just 24 parents, the many parents who volunteered on the day and our amazing sponsors who supported us on the way. There were so many legends who went above and beyond and made a huge difference to the outcome of the day - to all of you we say thank you also. The $43k in funds raised are being spent by the P&C and the School Admin on the new natur...e outdoor playground areas and will make a huge difference to the school environment. To the many parents who baked, gave time, grew plants, came and supported the fete, supported their partners, played music, did ice runs, whatever you did to support our P&C fundraiser: THANK YOU. It was an amazing day with thousands in attendance and we were completely blown away with the musical acts, volunteers and good will shown toward the school. We hope that your children enjoy the playgrounds over the years and you take pride in knowing that we were all part of making that happen. 20.01.2022 Artist Spotlight: David Kidd To some of us, he might be known as "Laurens Dad". To those that have been around in the Kenmore hood for a little longer, youll recognise the name as one of Kenmores Shining Stars. See, the thing is... David Kidd is a bit of a big deal. And hes performing at our Fete on August 5th. For frees. As a member of the Ten Tenors for 9 years, David performed around the country as well as in Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Mala...ysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, the UK and the USA. In 2002 he received the Centenary Medal (for Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Music Industry) and in 2004 a MO (with The Ten Tenors for Variety Group of the Year). David has recorded on albums totalling over 1.3 million sales worldwide, including Colours (1999), Untied (2001), A Not so Silent Night (2001), One is Not Enough (2002), Larger then Life (2003), Tenology (2004), Heres to the Heroes (2006) and Nostalgica (2008). 20.01.2022 Planning on joining us for Happy Hour on Aug 5th at the Fete? Tag and friend and make a "Happy Hour Date" at our Fete bar from 3-5pm. Soak up that infamous "Fete Ambience" while listening to some live music on the stage, get a pinot in the hand and let your cares melt away.... Until 5pm. Then you have to leave.

19.01.2022 How cute are these? Lily from Year 5 is organising a decorate your own cupcake stall and stormtrooper cupcakes are on the agenda! Love your work Lily! The cupcake stall is located on "Sugar Alley" (right alongside the Cake Stall and the Lolly Stall). Bring your sugar cravings and your creativity!

19.01.2022 The stress levels of the entertainment team have significantly reduced since Patrick from Calm Events has come onboard to assist us. Huge shout out to Patrick for all the support he has provided us to date and with the magic he will weave on the stage in managing the sound for all our fabulous performers.

16.01.2022 The drumming workshop with MKR Drumming school filled fast. Luckily the fabulous drumming teacher Ryan has agreed to another 3 tickets for the workshop. So get in quick!!! You can then see Ryan in full drumming action in the last performance of the day, with this band Mode Atlanta.

12.01.2022 Kids raid your piggy banks and your parents wallets for small change as the first ever Kenmore South Paper Plane competition kicks off on fete day. Entry will be 50 cents per paper plane with all proceeds going to the school. Paper will be supplied for contestants to build their plane on the day. No entries from pre folded planes from home will be accepted. There will be certificates for the best competitors and runners up. But best of all there will be a medal presented on stage by David Kidd to the competitor who flys a plane the longest distance at 3pm Competition kicks off after the opening ceremony and will close just before 3pm. Get folding!!!!!

04.01.2022 Local Kenmore business Urban Yogi will be running an interactive Yoga workshop for kids at 12pm on fete day. The workshop will provide a feel for what is on offer that there local studio on Wongabel Street. The kids yoga classes are run in a unique way which incorporates freedom of movement and mindfulness. It helps children to find focus, trust and confidence in themselves, cooperation with others, self-esteem and self-awareness, resilience and fearlessness in a completel...y non-competitive environment. 03.01.2022 Look at this amazing group of people! Our last fete meeting before the last push to deliver this fete baby is DONE. We are so excited to bring you the fete on Saturday and cant wait to see all the happy kids and parents enjoying the big day. Thanks to everyone in the community for supporting us, our husbands/partners (and Brians wife) for allowing us to check out for the last month, and to everyone that has helped along the way. Well our Meditation workhop on fete day is just the thing for you. So snap snap get yourself registered and learn the skill to breathe and be at peace.
