24.01.2022 The #KTA team left Sherwood KTEC early this am to head out to assist the farmers of #Rathdowney! We are all looking forward to help where we can and hope we can make a difference. We had a quick toolbox meeting with Jason Castle from #Ruralaid before leaving.... #Rathdowney here we come!

23.01.2022 Regional Australians are faced with some of the toughest conditions in our countrys history. The ongoing drought is challenging our farmers and their community...s very survival. Rural Aid is committed to providing assistance, working alongside local government, small business and vital services, to deliver relief. In Miles, Queensland - one young family was grateful for the generosity of Komatsu Australia & Komatsu Training Academy - KTA Dreamers staff who travelled from Brisbane to offer their skills.

22.01.2022 Well done dreamers! What a fantastic experience.

22.01.2022 Live your dream 2020! Well only 8 weeks to go now before I am off trekking the Kokoda Track in late April! As a team, we have decided to support Beyond Blue as our charity partner this year. They are a very worthwhile beneficiary, doing excellent work in support and education around mental health. Every one of us is somehow touched by mental illness during our life time and I feel proud to be involved in Komatsus support of Beyond Blue. Please see link below to the fund...raising page that has been set up for our Komatsu Kokoda Trek. 22.01.2022 Sometimes you dont realise how close those in need are. The #LiveYourDreamKAL2019 Komatsu Training Academy (KTA) team were only a couple of hours drive today from #Brisbane in the Rathdowney region. You really do get a different perspective and appreciate what you have when you work with the farmers first hand and get to understand the trying times they have been through and still are enduring in many cases. Our farmers are such great down to earth people and are so in need... of our support. The KTA team was hoping to make a difference today and thanks to Komatsu Australia it was made possible. Today we met Steve and Claire who are farmers at #Rathdowney. Such an awesome couple who are fourth generation farmers, farming cattle on their 485 hectare (1200 acre) property. Being typically proud farmers, they do not actively seek assistance, even when they have been through some very challenging times and it took Rural Aid some time to convince them to accept the support that the corporate Farm Rescue assistance could provide. As the KTA team did out in #Miles last week, today we divided up into small groups which worked on the various projects including farm machinery and equipment along with helping to eradicate fireweed on the property for the day. By the end of the day, the KTA team had serviced two farm vehicles including oil changes, bleeding brakes and repairing a clutch slave cylinder along with repairing a broken gearbox on the farm tractor and to top it off, we have almost completed the repair of a 1965 International Dozer that had not been able to be started for well over two years! Unfortunately, we ran out of time to fire it up but given the inspiration the KTA team took from today and how genuinely appreciative Steve and Claire were of our support, watch this space!!! We WILL get this dozer moving again. The #LiveYourDreamKAL2019 Komatsu Training Academy team has come together as One Komatsu over the last two weeks to provide support to farmers in need through the #RuralAid program. The whole KTA team has made me feel immensely proud to be leading such a team of dedicated people who bought into our #LiveYourDream journey and have been able to make such a positive impact on peoples lives who have been enduring challenging times for several years. These farmers and their communities need our support right now and with your help we can make a difference. There are numerous ways you can support our farmers. Maybe we should do this a couple of times throughout the year, to give back to the community and our industry! 18.01.2022 Not long team before we head out to Rathdowney!

18.01.2022 #LiveYourDreamContinues............ #KTAs Senior Trainer Peter Wilson went back to one of our farmers properties at #Rathdowney over the weekend to assist them with fixing their old Toyota Landcruiser (1973 model). He replaced the water pump with new gasket kits, tested the thermostat and tensioned the belts. Pete said It was a mission to say the least, given it is 46 years old and still running with the original water pump. ... He had to remove and re-use the original studs and as you could imagine, 46 years of rust and corrosion, removing them was a big job in itself. Fantastic job Peter Wilson for continuing on with #LiveyourDream"!

16.01.2022 Under the leadership of Lee Blackwell with fitters Matt Bradbury and Chris Field, they went to a different farm where they had a land cruiser which required servicing which Lee took total control as our HV sparky and did a great job finding the location of the engine sump plug on the diff :) No need to worry, Lee eventually moved from the diff to the engine and got grease and oil on his face and hands for the first time in 20 years. Matt and Chris worked on a Drott that wasn...t running which had a knocking noise last time it did. The boys pushed started it and they got it to run, however, it had previously sheared the drive shaft to the PTO and unfortunately was unable to be repaired within the time frame we had on the property today. Another day dawns tomorrow and more farms to visit, stay posted. 01.01.2022 Day 1, here we are! You really do get a different perspective when you work with the farmers first hand. Great people that deserve all the support. Hoping to make a difference thanks to @KomatsuAustralia. Every little bit counts. Today, we have worked and helped out the local farmers from nearby areas in #Miles. KTA are giving back to farmers, with the help from @ruralaidaustralia gives you a great feeling. Today we went to a farm that was in need of assistance. The farmer...s had been dealt a string of bad luck over the years with there house being struck by lightning and them having to move into the family home which has been there since the early 1900s and through many generations of farmers. Due to an unforeseen accident, the farmer is unable to do what he used to. There were 5 of us that went to this property. We painted the granny flat on the outside and ceilings on the inside while the diesel mechanics serviced the farm cruiser, fault found and got it up and running. On the Hino cattle truck they repaired the air brake treadle valve and an oil leak and had the truck up and running by the end of the day. Casey is now qualified as a paint roller...
