25.01.2022 Dear Families Sadly our casual educator Ellie McLauglin has finished up working with us at Kubby this week. We would like to thank Ellie for her efforts and time over the last few months working at Kubby, especially coming in and helping out when it was needed most during the difficult times of last year. We wish Ellie all the best with whatever her next adventure may be.

This is a notice for a temporary closure of Kubby House Childcare Centre from Monday 23rd November due to staff shortages. ... 22.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers, Currently, at Kubby House we have a lovely lady, named Kerry who comes and collects our food scraps for her chooks. As an ongoing topic the Educators talk to the children about why we are separating things at meal- times.... As a continuation in this learning, for the children, Kerry has agreed to bring a chook in to meet the children. This will occur this Wednesday 10th February 2021 between 10am and 10:30am. 20.01.2022 A big thank you to Kerry for coming in yesterday and bringing in her chook for the children to see and learn about. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Kerry also left us some eggs, so the children baked some cupcakes for afternoon tea using the eggs. And had lots of fun decorating them.

15.01.2022 While it’s Bec’s official last day today and Caitlin’s tomorrow we are so grateful that they are coming in on Monday to ensure photos run smoothly as it also gives us a chance to celebrate them and farewell them with a sweet treat for all our friends.

14.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers An email has just been sent to all families with a notification of the centre reducing our opening hours at the centre to 8am-4pm we will operate at these hours until further notice. This is due to educators being unwell and we have also had 2 recent resignations of educators Mel Wass and Kristy Neate. We are hopefull to have all educators back on deck and well enough after the Easter break There has also been a few confirmed cases of Hand Foot & ...Mouth disease in the centre. If your child experiences any symptoms please see your local GP and we ask that you keep them home. We appreciate your understanding during this time, and we hope you can be patient with us while working to getting back to business as normal. 11.01.2022 Dear Families This is a courtesy notice to inform you that we have been notified today of two confirmed cases of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) within our centre. HFMD is a common viral illness of infants and children. Symptoms usually include: fever, sores in the mouth, and a rash with blisters. ... Students with symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease, particularly a rash illness with fever, should be excluded from the centre until at least 24 hours after the fever has resolved. They should also be looked at by a health care provider. You can help to prevent and control the spread of hand, foot, and mouth disease by: Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm running water, including cleaning under fingernails. Wash hands after using the bathroom or handling diapers or dirty underwear. Children should sneeze or cough into their sleeves or a tissue and throw out the tissue right away. Wash toys and other surfaces that have saliva on them. Exclude a child from group settings if he or she has a fever, draining sores that cannot be covered or there are sores in their mouth and they can’t contain their saliva as is the case with infant hand to mouth behavior. 05.01.2022 Thank you to those families who have emailed us their ability to reduce their child’s placement or days they know they will be absent. At this stage we still need to reduce places and without further volunteer reduction we will be implementing the Priority Access Guidelines. Please note as this is a temporary unavailablilty of placement by the service it will not be counted as an absence for your child and you have right of return to such placement when we have the educator c...apacity. You will also not be charged for the time your child is reducing their placement or days within the dates of 23rd November to 18th December. Please look at your calendars and let us know ASAP if you can accommodate changes to your care. Please be advised that any dates that you can voluntarily forfeit this year will have absolutely no effect on placement in 2021. 04.01.2022 Unfortunately we have some sad news to share with you all. Caitlin has decided to move on to a new adventure. We are grateful for the service she has provided over her years as an educator at Kubby and know she will be missed by all. We wish her the best of luck. Caitlins last day will be Monday 23rd November.... Unfortunately the sad news doesn’t stop there, as Bec has also resigned from her permanent position with Kubby; however we don’t have to say goodbyes just yet as she will continue to work at Kubby in a casual capacity. We are so grateful that she will continue to be an integral part of our centre. If you have any concerns about your children and how these changes may disrupt their routines, please do not hesitate to ask questions. Over the next few weeks there may be some shuffling of educators as we hopefully, welcome new staff to our centre. Please rest assured your children will be supported throughout this challenging time. We thank-you for your patience and understanding.
