25.01.2022 These cool kids have been looking after the Kulin Bush Races track while the rest of us have been hiding away. At this stage we have not made a decision to cancel our event in October and we are still continuing to monitor the situation across Australia. As stated last month, ultimately our decision will be in the hands of the government and recommendations from health authorities. Once a decision has been made we will notify you all. 18.01.2022 In line with the National Cabinet advice on non-essential travel, Shire of Kulin have made the decision to close Kulin Caravan Park, Kulin Hostel and Kulin RV s...topover area until further notice. No new customers will be permitted to park in these facilities, or overflow facilities at Freebairn Recreation Centre until further notice. Current visitors have to Sunday 29th March 2020 to vacate. There will also be no camping facilities within the Shire of Kulin over Easter and the upcoming school holidays. This decision takes into account the best available information available to us to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 in our community. The Shire will continue to be guided by the Federal Government and Department of Health WA (DoH) in relation to appropriate responses relating to the COVID-19 issue and protecting the health and safety of community members, including our staff, will be the Shires priority. 16.01.2022 Congratulations to our chairman, Graeme Robertson, who was recognised today on the 2020 Australia Day Honours List. Graeme has been awarded an Order of Australia for service to the Kulin community. Graeme has been in the top job for 25 years, committed to making the Kulin Bush Races the iconic Australian event it is today. Former Shire President is another esteemed role to add to his long list of achievements BUT... all you need to know is that Graeme is a man who is tirelessly dedicated, committed and passionate towards the community of Kulin. Graemes vision and drive to keep our town alive is admirable. We are so lucky to have him!

13.01.2022 Kulin Bush Races 2020 As you are all aware the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced that non-essential mass gatherings of more than 500 people have been banned effectively due to the worldwide coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The 2020 Kulin Bush Races is scheduled for just over 6 months so we will not be making any decision to cancel our event at this stage. However, we will continue to monitor the situation across Australia. Ultimately our decision w...ill be in the hands of the government and recommendations from health authorities. The health of our community and patrons is of paramount importance. We will continue to tentatively plan for the 2020 Kulin Bush Races event however we will not be announcing a ticket release date or opening horse nominations until we are certain that our weekend will go ahead. If you cant join us ...on Sunday, you are welcome to use the golf course throughout the week drop $5 for 9 holes or $10 for 18 holes in the honour box at the golf club. Make sure you miss the water hazard, otherwise, you will be joining the tin horses looking for your golf ball!
