05.01.2022 Important message to Kumon Canningtons parents. We value the well being and safety of all our students and staff. We have put measures in place to ensure the following: 1. We adhere to the Australian Government Health Departments recommendations. 2. If your child is sick or unwell, presenting symptoms like coughs, sore throat, runny nose and fever, please do not attend class.... 3. Please ask your child to wash his/her hands before class. Hand sanitiser will be provided in class too. 4. The Centre is sanitised after each class day. Shared pencils are sanitised before class, but you are strongly advised to bring your own pencils and erasers. 5. Pick up worksheets arrangements for a longer term basis option is available. Please speak directly with your instructor. We are all in regular contact with our Kumon Head Office in Australia and New Zealand for any development on this matter and you will be notified regularly. Thank you.

Kumon centres are still open and offering a home-based programme. If the government on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer closes schools to slow the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, Kumon is ready to go to 100 percent home-based study for the duration. Kumon will always comply with CMO and government advice. Worksheets are being provided from your centre, so your childs learning is not interrupted. Kumon is traditionally a home-based, pencil and paper programme. It is designed for students to study at home every day on their own. It is ideal for extended periods at home. For a short time, every day, no calculator, no keyboard, no screen, no high-speed internet connection necessary. Students take out their worksheets, pick up a pencil, read, think, write, and use an eraser to correct their errors. Kumon Instructors can effectively manage communication with families through a variety of electronic means.
