22.01.2022 The Kumon Institute of Education from Japan came and filmed our student cases in the preparation for Yins presentation at Japan Conference next year (March2018)!

22.01.2022 Kumon always encourages students to read aloud the worksheets as it will help them to enhance the memory of sentences and vocabulary. A recent study from the University of Waterloo supported this theory too! Please read the article.

22.01.2022 We encourage all parents to mark their child's Kumon homework daily :) Marking their homework has a great impact on learning progress. Impact on Progress: 1 It's easier for your child to figure out on their own where they went wrong and make the corrections, while the day's worksheet content is fresh in their mind, rather than several days later.... 2 The chances of making the same or similar mistakes on the proceeding days' worksheets are minimised. 3 Your child's understanding of the worksheet content for that day is consolidated through the correction process. 4 After completing any corrections to achieve 100%, your child experiences a sense of accomplishment and completion each day. If you have any questions about homework marking, feel free to talk to us.

22.01.2022 As we enter Victoria’s second lockdown, Prep to Year 10 are also returning to remote learning from Term 3. We learned that online learning demands more from both students and parents, but at the same time, it gives us an opportunity to learn how to adapt and be resilient in times of uncertainty. No different to how self-studying a new Math concept in Kumon pushes us out of our comfort zone, and the subsequent learning and mastering of that very concept expands our resilien...ce and capacity. These two things must come together, hand in hand. From the online learning experience, many students have strengthened their self-learning abilities, many parents have gained a deeper insight into the intent of worksheet design, fostering a stronger partnership for more student development. Let’s not forget it is just learning in a different way! Home-based support via online platforms resumes today, we understand it is an unsettling time for families, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need extra support.

15.01.2022 Dear Kumon Families, welcome to the official page of Kumon Glen Waverley. Thank you for checking out our page! 15.01.2022 Maths Level J and Above Support Line As students advance in the Kumon worksheets, they become more confident to study the content on their own. When they encounter something new, they study the example in the worksheet, draw on previous learning and give it a try. They try, and fail, until they finally get it. This is how Kumon develops self-learning. But what if students get stuck?... They can contact our Maths Level J and Above Support Line. Call 1800 314 450 or email [email protected] for support. Students will be allocated a 15- to 30- minute timeslot to receive support from one of our dedicated maths worksheet specialists. Students should have their attempted worksheet and solution book ready.

02.01.2022 At Kumon, our first priority is the health and welfare of all students, staff and parents. Our Kumon Centre is still open. However, if schools close to slow the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, Kumon is ready to go to home-based study until schools reopen. This is to comply with health authority advice and government regulations. Worksheets can be provided from our centre for the duration of the school closures, so your childs learning is not interrupted. Continued daily ...worksheet study at home will ensure that disruption to your childs progress and learning is minimised. We hope it is reassuring to know your childs Kumon programme can continue during this period. Please contact our staff for details and to make arrangements now.

02.01.2022 To delve deeper into things you are intrigued by so you can understand yourself and realise your potential. Proud of your deep self-reflection, Annie.
