25.01.2022 Finally! On the last game of the season we got the Open a Womens Tag team together to get a team photo! These girls have been a delight to have at the club this season! They have had an up and down season with injuries but have gone out each week and given it their all. There is so much talent in this team, and have always encouraged our younger players when possible. ... This team also sent flowers to a player from an opposing team when she injured herself during a game. A true testament to their great sportsmanship and caring natures. Cant wait to see your faces back at the Stingrays in 2021!

Nothing was going to stop Connor from scoring a try; not a sideline, a few defenders or calls from the crowd. Nice work champ! A try is a try, no matter how you get there! 24.01.2022 VALE FRED CORBETT The Kurnell Stingrays were saddened by the news of Fred Corbetts passing. Fred was a very passionate coach who coached one junior and one senior at the same time. He was a father of 8 children, 2 daughters and 6 sons, with 3 of his sons, Damian, Ricky and Jeffrey, playing for the Kurnell Stingrays. ... Fred and his family lived at Claymore and travelled at least twice a week for his teams training. It has been said that he often filled his van with players from Campbelltown who were wanting to play for the Stingrays. Fred coached for the Stingrays from 1998-2001 and was awarded Coach of the Year in 1999. Fred coached from under 6s to Under 16s, and in many years, coached two age groups in the same year. Many of his teams were managed by his wife Liz. He was a great ambassador for the Stingrays and the game of Rugby League. He passed away peacefully at home and the Kurnell Stingrays wish to pass their sincere condolences to Freds family.

Their coach thought a great way to thank all the special women and girls in their players lives was to make a guard of honour for our players to run through. ... Just look at the delight on their faces as they take to the field. What a wonderful moment captured. Thank you to all the wonderful women involved in rugby league. 24.01.2022 Our league tag has grown so much this season. Here are our gorgeous under 7 girls team. Some of these girls are only 5 years old but that doesn’t stop them! ... They had their first ever game on the weekend and had a ball! It looks like an exciting season ahead for these little Stingrays!

We have picked up as much glass as we can see but small shards are scattered in the grass, so to avoid injury please wear shoes at all times And if you know who did this, send them our way. 08.01.2022 The under 12s played at Anzac Oval today against Engadine and came away winners 10-6. What a nail biter! It might have been a low scoring game but it was an exciting game to play and watch! The boys worked hard and deserved this win. Great work Stingrays!!

06.01.2022 The Kurnell Stingrays Junior Rugby League Club are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of a founding sponsor of the club. Brian Slater passed away yesterday surrounded by his family. Brian was an extremely generous man who had sponsored an U6 team every year since our club was founded in 1992. ... Brian was a selfless man, always willing to lend a hand and only a phone call away. He not only provided for the Stingrays, but also the community of Kurnell, with his wealth of knowledge as a plumber, businessman and all around top bloke. We offer our sincere condolences to his sons and extended family. Brian will sorely missed by all.

We then have our Girls Tag League sides playing at home on Sunday before our Under 14 and under 15 Tackle sides take to the field. 02.01.2022 What a weekend to be a Stingray!!! It was a great weekend of footy for all our players. There was some wins, some loses but smiles all around. From our littlest Stingrays, some playing their first game ever to our old and creaky over 35’s getting back on the paddock, everyone came off the field happy and satisfied, and looking forward to the season kicking off officially. ... We have lots of photos from around the grounds this weekend. We have more of some teams than others, as it was tricky to be all over the shire at the same time, but you can all see what a fun weekend of footy we all had!
