22.01.2022 Attention all Kooringal-Wagga members Due to the current weather and under LANSW Heat Policy the committee has made the decision to cancel athletics tonight. Registration Packs and uniforms will still be available for collection and purchase from 5.15pm at Jubilee Oval for the carnival on Sunday.... We thank you for your understanding.

21.01.2022 Our 2020/21 athletic season will commence on Friday 16th October 2020, 5pm at Jubilee Park. 18.01.2022 Come Try Night 2 - Friday 25th September. WOW, what an attendance for the first Come Try Night!! Due to the overwhelming response of athletes we have had to implement a couple changes. * If you signed in to Come and Try last week we do need to check you off the list this week. If you didn't attend last week you will need to fill out a form this week. Please allow time.... * To ensure the safety of our athletes and volunteers as well as timely order of events, we kindly ask that only 1 parent/carer/spectator enters the infield area with an athlete. There is plenty viewing areas on the outside of the fence! * Athletes at events are to remain at the event with their age manager. Each event has a cone labelled as the waiting area. 13.01.2022 It is with great sadness we advise the passing of our dear friend and much-loved coach Bill Jacob on Saturday 22nd August, 2020. Bill Jacob was a gentle, giving and caring person and will be remembered to many of us at our club as a very dedicated coach, spending many of his hours at his second home Jubilee Park doing what he loved, coaching and spending time with kids and parents. His jovial approach to life was infectious and was dearly loved and respected by children and... parents not only from our Club but from far afield. To us at Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club Bill will not only be remembered as a very valued and loved coach for our Club. Bill's unsurpassed dedication to athletics was applaudable and he played a significant and instrumental role in founding athletics in Wagga back in the early 80's. In 1988 when the Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club was Incorporated Bill was the club's founding President. Our sincere condolences and thoughts go out to all of the Jacob family, especially to wife Robin, daughters Ruth and Sarah and all the grandchildren. Bill will be dearly missed and will be forever in our hearts Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club

If you are called for both let your official know.... Stay sun safe, be Covid safe and don't forget to enjoy yourself.

REGISTRATION PACKS - There are still a number of registration packs that need to picked up this afternoon. These will not be available to pick up at the carnival.... 07.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW continues to closely monitor the ongoing developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with a view to ensuring the health and... wellbeing of the Little Athletics NSW community and the possible implications for Little Athletics as a sport. Following from our announcement on Friday that the State Championships would not be taking place last weekend, we can now confirm that the 2020 State Track & Field Championships have been officially cancelled. This is the first time in the history of Little Athletics in NSW, that a State Championship has not been held and unfortunately this means there will be no Little Athletics NSW State Track & Field champions recognised for 2020. It is regrettable that circumstances in respect of the coronavirus pandemic led to this decision and while we understand its impacts, we believe that given the circumstances and the rate of pace of change of information and advice, this decision was the appropriate one. Little Athletics, like everybody else, must do what we can to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Regarding the Australian Little Athletics Championships scheduled to be held on the 18th and 19th April in Canberra, we are expecting a decision from Little Athletics Australia later today and will provide an update once that has been received. We remind everyone of the need to continually monitor and adhere to the advice being issued by the various health authorities. We will also be providing further information and advice relevant to our members on our website, as it comes to hand, and encourage everyone to check back regularly for the latest update. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and understanding as we continue our commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our members and the community. 02.01.2022 Registrations for the 2020/21 season are open! Our first Come Try Night is this Friday, 18th September 2020. Registration Packs and uniforms open from 4.30pm.... Come Try waivers from 4.45pm for a 5pm start. We are COVID approved. So please allow time to sign in using our QR codes or contact register, sanitise and adhere to the social distancing directives. We do ask if you have flu like symptoms or have been unwell that you don't attend club nights. Also if you have visited a COVID hotspot or Victoria in the past 14 days.
