25.01.2022 We’ve launched the Path to Safety: Western Australia’s strategy to reduce family and domestic violence 2020-2030, a long-term vision for a Western Australia where all people live free from family and domestic violence. It sets out a clear whole-of-government and community plan for reducing and responding to family and domestic violence over the next decade. This is part of a comprehensive packages of reforms and initiatives delivered by the State Government to increase the safety of woman and children.

24.01.2022 Huge news for the Goldfields This is a significant announcement for Western Australia and yet another sign that confidence is returning to the State's economy, as we continue our recovery from COVID-19. I congratulate APA Group on its investment into this important project, which is expected to create 500 WA jobs throughout construction.... The Northern Goldfields Interconnect project is likely to stimulate significant economic development along its route in the Mid-West and throughout the Goldfields region.

17.01.2022 We’ve just released SafeWA, a free app which will provide businesses with a digital COVID-19 contact register system. SafeWA is endorsed by the Department of He...alth and includes key features such as unique QR codes for venues which patrons can scan to register their attendance. Data will be encrypted at the point of capture, stored securely and only be accessible by authorised Department of Health contact tracing personnel, should COVID-19 contact tracing be necessary. The app is being provided as a free, easy, contactless solution. A paper-based register system will also be available. To learn more and download the app visit safewa.health.wa.gov.au.

16.01.2022 On Wednesday night I brought to the attention of the House yet another allegation of a multi-national ripping off a West Australian contractor. I will continue to call out these disgusting behaviours, as I have done on many occasions. You can watch the full statement here: https://youtu.be/aMUtcqALdRU

09.01.2022 NAIDOC parade past the office this morning always was, always will be. It is the responsibility of all of us to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of this land. Now during NAIDOC Week of course but every day during the year as well.

06.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 Thank you to my staffer George for laying a wreath on my behalf in Kalgoorlie today - I’m sitting in Parliment this week. I would encourage everyone to spend some time today thinking about the sacrifices made for our freedoms. And to specifically spend time remembering our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers who fought, many of whom were not properly recognised for their service.

04.01.2022 The McGowan Labor Government’s Aboriginal Procurement Policy has surpassed its 2019-20 targets by an astonishing 275 per cent, with more Aboriginal businesses than ever before engaged by the State Government. The recently released Aboriginal Procurement Policy Second Year Performance Report shows the policy is successfully improving the economic prosperity of Aboriginal businesses, their suppliers, sub-contractors and the broader Aboriginal community. In 2019-20 the State Go...vernment awarded 234 contracts worth over $172 million to Aboriginal businesses, which have actively contributed to Aboriginal economic development and downstream business benefits. This includes 7 contracts, worth $1,185,727 being awarded to Aboriginal businesses in the Goldfields-Esperance region.

03.01.2022 Look...it’s the last sitting day of Parliament. It’s been a pretty crazy year, can you blame me?! and YES I did walk into the Chamber with this get up!
