25.01.2022 New mum's often experience pain in the feet. The top of the foot is often overlooked and carries alot of stuck tissue/pain. This is an easy release to do on the foot when you have a few minutes. Put pressure on the tissue and pull your toes in the opposite direction to your thumbs. 24.01.2022 Jack frost has hit Canberra today It's windy and bleak. I didn't fancy a run today but I still needed to get some exercise in mainly for my mental health and to grab a bit of time for myself. I settled for lifting some weights in the garage. 17.01.2022 Draw your belly button to spine. We are regularly told to suck the belly in a fitness scenario. If you want to manage your prolapse and work on your pelvic floor dysfunction then I recommend you stop doing this. It does nothing for core strength except weaken it over time. Constant sucking in the belly pushes the abdominal organs down and can create a whole other host of problems such as digestive issues and poor circulation of blood. 12.01.2022 Some easy ferments I made on the weekend. Beetroot Kvass and water kefir with fresh turmeric, honey and lemon Fermented foods not only boost your immunity. They help with less bloating in the belly, a better looking complexion and ferments are especially important for preventing low moods, depression. Good gut health equals better brain function. Beetroot Kvass : clean and dice one beetroot. Put into a bottle or jar with a lid. Add a teaspoon of salt and fill with... filtered water. I wanted to speed up the ferment so I added a quarter cup of whey (the watery stuff from yougart, strained through a muslin cloth. Water kefir grains can be brought from a health foot shop, they last months, it is so cheap to make yourself. My grains cost $20 and will last around 9 months. 09.01.2022 Fermented coconut yougart Healthy gut, healthy brain, better immunity. This yougart is ridiculously easy to make and is so delicious! I put 2 tins of coconut cream into a sterilized jar and added the powder of 2 probiotic capsules. Mix with a wooden spoon and secure with a lid. Put it in the cupboard and it should be good to go in 4 days. Check for bubbles.
