22.01.2022 Avoiding a Mildura Councillor Bubble Greetings to all of MRCC from the SA/VIC border town of MURRAYVILLE. Where is Murrayville? You wouldn’t be the first one (from Mildura) to ask that question. Murrayville is indeed in Victoria and it is in the MRCC. It is just about as far as you can get from Mildura and still be in the MRCC; A two-hour drive from Mildura. We believe we are just as important as the city of Mildura itself, just as are all the other outlying towns of MRCC. Hi...story in the Making? One of my main aims in running for Council is to put Murrayville, and similar towns, on the same map as Mildura. It is long overdue for Murrayville to have a representative on MRCC. I believe 2020 could be the year to make history and vote a representative from Murrayville into MRCC. Regional Reps Myself, and Ian Arney from Werrimul, are your two regional candidates. It is just plain healthy to have reps on Council who live and work in the actual regions. Current regional Councillors, Greg Brown and Min Poole are standing down from this election. Ian Arney and I are standing up and hoping to retain a healthy rural/city presence on the new council. Outside Perspective I believe, as candidates from the bush outside the Mildura Bubble, we can bring a fresh and vibrant perspective to the issues of Council. The Mallee Track The Mallee Track is the towns from Murrayville to Ouyen. It is on the Mallee Highway, which is part of the shortest and most direct route from Adelaide to Sydney. An enormous market potential for both small business, big business and tourism alike. We are on the Silo Art Route that is largely untapped. We have a potential ‘Water Feature Trail, from Pinnaroo Wetlands, to Murrayville Wetlands & Walking Trails (20km of trails), to the Jewel in the Crown Pink Lakes near Underbool, to the crazy amazing Ouyen Lake! Wow! Farming We have some of the most productive and efficient farmers in the nation producing a quality product, including a growing number of successful Organic producers. Truly clean and green! A vision for the Region The Great North West Loop! In a nutshell, this would be a tourist route built on doing a lap of the whole region, based on accommodation facilities and our natural environments. It would showcase and unlock the amazing treasures of our Greater Mildura Region with Mildura being showcased as the regions amazing vibrant city. From Mildura to Lake Cullelleraine to Murrayville to (Patchewollock?) to Ouyen, to Hattah and back to Mildura. From the river to the region and back to the river! Linking the region to the city for a WIN - WIN situation. Everyone wins! Culture, business, towns, youth etc. Avoiding the Bubble No one is immune from getting stuck in a rut. It is good to have fresh eyes and fresh ideas from someone outside any given situation, to give a fresh perspective. 21.01.2022 OFF TO MILDURA.... On the Road again, just been thru Underbool.... Started off in a big MERKY FOG in Murrayville... Now the the SUN is up and the Light has come and the FOG HAS gone.... Yay. Aiming to b in LANGTREE MALL. 11:15am-12 midday... Happy to catchup.. Seems to b a bit of FOG over the Mall, at the moment??!!

I aim to represent the Rural part of MRCC and bring that balance of rural perspective to the table. Together with Ian Arney for the Werrimul line, I would hope to be that balance. COMMUNITY OWNED STORE, Silo to b painted, Great little caravan stop and toilets, POOLES MACHINERY +FUEL business etc...then up the road to UNDERBOOL 1pm.... PINK LAKES(POTENTIALLY another' SEA LAKE) , Pink lakes PANTRY, GLOSTERS GARAGE AND FUEL, CORBETTS RURAL, OLD PUB waiting for an entrepreneur!?! etc... And home'..... GUTS, DETERMINATION, RESILIENCE, PASSION, COMMUNITY and loads of POTENTIAL... YAHOO... A Great day!!

11.01.2022 Bini.. Cracking the WHIP!! Maybe we could set him loose on a few premiers and frighten them into remembering what they, ve done and what they r doing to the people.. in their self righteous little Holy bubbles! Bini is one of our 3 'refugees' stuck in the border trap!! Here for over 2 weeks and now back HOME in ADELAIDE.. Where they have to quarintine for another 2 weeks.. THATS 4 WEEKS THEY'VE BEEN OUT OF WORK!! ALL IN THIS TOGETHER... HEY?? So where are the Public Servants forgoing a paycheck to help these guys and all those that have gone before them?? Etc etc etc. NOT TO MENTION BUSINESS, S THAT ARE GETTING SMASHED. Etc etc... Still got a lady been here for 3 WEEKS NOW.... Trying to go back to NSW....at her own cost of $5000 she could goto Melbourne, fly to Sydney, get her car freighted up and quarantine in a flash hotel for 2weeks.... And then go home!!!!! See more

09.01.2022 So WHERE is MURRAYVILLE?? A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL?!? A crazy storm cloud 10kms from home, after a day in Mildura. ... Murrayville is indeed out on the edge of MRCC. 2hrs from Mildura. 110kms west of Ouyen. 20kms from SAborder. 25kms from our sister border town of Pinnaroo. It is a vibrant and very productive crossborder community. Producing Grain, Livestock and Vegies mainly potatoes on the irrigation. Tourism is growing and has enormous potential. WE BELIEVE M...URRAYVILLE IS AS MUCH A PART OF MRRC as is The City of MILDURA Itself. As is every other Regional Town of the RURAL part of the MRCC.... . MURRAYVILLE is an Amazing little Oasis of about 300 people. It has its own water source and even has it's own MCG! There is a beautiful little 9hole golf. course as well as 20kms of walking trails. All set in the Pinehill Bushland flora + fauna reserve next to town.We have a Community College, Mallee Health Service and even a chemist. In 2020 we've had a brand new state of the art LIBRARY located in Pioneer Park..... We've had a Million dollar upgrade to our town drainage system. Just completed.... And we r on the verge of starting construction of our'' Mallee Wetlands''...... Our town environs gardens and lawns are starting to look pretty attractive largely due to our LOCAL MRCC Working man.... In March 2019 we held the Inaugural SHALOM MUSIC FESTIVAL. This years was looking awesome until Covid hit of course.... PROJECTS ON THE GO. 1.To establish 24HR OPT FUEL IN TOWN. ASAP. 2..... Establishing Wetlands Asap... 3...plans for a new sporting Hub complex...... As for issues for Council. 1...TO.BRING ATTENTION TO OUR BORDER BUBBLE and the fall out from. And to ongoing issues beyond covid. 2....to bring attention to and encourage and BUILD cross border and neighbouring COUNCIL RELATIONS. 3....To minimise and aim to Freeze rates if at all possible..... 05.01.2022 The Murrayville Walking Trails and Wetlands is a great project. We have gained funding for and erected map signs around the Pine Hill trails and have some more spectacular signs showing off the amazing bird life, just about ready to put in place. This bushland area on the edge of Murrayville has great diversity of bird life and other flora and fauna. The Wetland area is getting through the planning permit stage. It will be a sensational part of our town's recreation area. Funding from MRCC has enabled major drainage problems in the town to be addressed, enabling the town's run off to get to the Wetland area efficiently. Can't wait to see this project completed. The end result will be truly amazing.

01.01.2022 REFUELLING MURRAYVILLE!!! Called into SUNRAYSIA PETROLEUM yesterday to catchup with Travis.... They are being a great help along with mrcc planning and vic roads to help establish a 24hr OPT feul facility in Murrayville... .. Sunraysia Petroleum have been amazing in locating a couple of mobile 5000lt diesel and ulp tanks in Murrayville to help us out while our SA and VIC Premiers Play Politics with our Border communities..

01.01.2022 THE BORDER BUBBLE 3 People been stuck here for a week... 2 r sa residents and sSA health says it'll b another week before they r allowed to go home!! SA residents Juma and Binny giving us a hand here in Murrayville, to pass the time.... WE R UP TO OVER 20 PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN TRAPPED HERE At different times SINCE EARLY JULY.....mostly SA RESIDENTS.. WHO DOES THAT TO THEIR OWN PEOPLE??? OVER 2000 COVID TESTS IN OUR CROSSBORDER community. NOT ONE POSITIVE TEST!!!!!! And... guess who is paying for the tests?? The FEDERAL GOVT... NOT STH AUST GOVT. SA GOVT SMASHES US and get off scott free... Like a spoilt little kid!! some people have had nearly 20 tests.... We haven't had COVID' B'VIRUS HERE EVER!!!!!
