23.01.2022 COVID-19 update To give you peace of mind during this uncertain time, we wanted to let you know that our professional kits and workstations have always been clean and disinfected, even before this pandemic. While we have always practiced these safety precautions on a regular basis, we are now being more mindful than ever before. So how do we keep you safe? What we DO:... Wipe down all surfaces before we set up our makeup station. Use hand sanitiser before we start services and in-between to maintain cleanliness. Our brushes are always sanitised and deep cleaned with warm soapy water prior to all appointments and sanitised in-between each client. We always scrape, scoop, and decant products with a sanitised or disposable tool to a clean, metal palette or tissue/paper towel. Always spray pencils with sanitiser before sharpening them in a sanitised pencil sharpener. When applying mascara, we always use new, disposable mascara wands for each application, and we never double-dip. Disinfect all our tools (including tweezers, scissors etc) and wipe down all products used between clients. Have a separate box for all used products to prevent cross contamination between used and unused. After every client, we clean the working surface and always prepare a new, clean area to work on. What we DONT do: We do not use beauty blenders as these cannot ever be properly sanitised. Instead we use new disposable sponges for each client. We never double-dip our brush directly into beauty products. We will insist that you do not touch any product, tools or equipment from our kits. We will insist that any person not directly involved in the service stay out of the room where we are working. This is to help minimise contact and potential risk on our own health. I personally have type 1 diabetes. This means I am autoimmune compromised and at a higher risk of complications from the covid-19 if I was to be infected. This is not a "flu" for me. Please keep this in mind when booking or keeping an existing booking. We ask that if you are in any way sick, as normal even with a common cold, that you cancel or reschedule your booking where possible. Any non-essential bookings will be rescheduled (mainly trials). I will be in contact with each of my upcoming booking in the next few days if I have not already been. We are committed to working with each of our individual clients in this crisis. So please let us know if there is anything we can to do assist you or ease your mind. As always stay safe and calm <3

14.01.2022 Announcing our photoshoot for our partner, The Kala Space Founder: Donna Zen The Kala Space is a new concept Thrift store that not only sells great quality clot...hing but also aims to connect people through mind, body and spirit. The Kala Space employs and supports women experiencing homelessness and escaping domestic abuse. We will be hosting a Kala space Thrift Store in our Academy warehouse, whereby our models will have access to wear these clothing items as part of their modelling course, all photos will not only form the basis of modelling portfolios but will also be showcased by Kala Space for the sake of all proceeds going back to support the homeless. By doing our modelling course youll also help those in desperate need! It was our honour to take these photos of Kala Space Clothing with our models on the yacht as well as in the funky streets of Mitchelton, Brisbane. O...n Sunday the 28th of July, we at Vogue Cosmetica Academy set a challenge to 6 enthusiastic teams of Models, Hair and Makeup Artists and Photographers to go out into charitable thrift shops across Brisbane and create a fashionable outfit that showcased their creativity, skill, and thriftiness! The catch! They couldnt spend more than $20 for their entire outfit! They would also be boarding a yacht on the Brisbane River to capture their best images before submitting them to be judged and then donating them back to the relevant charities for advertising and to encourage others to recycle clothing and shop thrift!
