25.01.2022 I am very pleased that Liberals WA have committed $2.8 million towards a new building for Full Circle Therapies. I am a huge supporter of Full Circle and the great things they do for our community. They have outgrown their current building, as such is the demand so being able to expand to provide additional therapy programs for children with special needs such as occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology and therapy assistants is fantastic. ... It is impressive what Full Circle has grown into after such a dedicated group of people started it up locally. It is a vital service provider for our community that we simply cannot go without. The team and board go above and beyond. I am very happy to be able to push for this one-of-a-kind organisation in our region. Without them, families of children with special needs often have to travel to the metro area for services and even worse some move away and leave the region. Regional families should expect the same standard of services as those of our metropolitan cousins - we deserve as much.

25.01.2022 I am very pleased to announce that Liberals WA have committees to fund $615,000 towards a nature playground at Karlkurla Park and upgrading the existing shelter if elected. Our city is such a wonderful place for families and little ones growing up. Another great addition would be to have a nature playground where kids can play out in fresh air and interact with natural environments. The KBULG have always been doing a fantastic job in our community on terms of caring and conse...rving the environment and the nature playground could not be in better hands. I’ve recently helped out at their annual Clean Up Day, and also with their tree planting day last year which was great fun. It was wonderful to see so many people involved. We often bemoan that children nowadays too much time indoors on their gadgets, so a fun and exciting nature playground will hopefully encourage them to spend more time outdoors. I would like to see ideas from kids and their parents on what the nature playground should have.

25.01.2022 We are very lucky to have another JP offering their services at my office. Michael Telford will be available each Wednesday 1pm - 4pm. 24.01.2022 I represent a huge electorate with not only the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder but also the Shires of Coolgardie, Dundas, Laverton, Leonora and Menzies. Yesterday I hosted several of the Shires at Parliament House for meetings. Pictured is the Shire of Dundas President Laurene Bonza and CEO Peter Fitchat, as well as the Shire of Laverton President Pat Hill and CEO Peter Naylor, along with Shadow Transport Minister Libby Mettam. I also caught up with the Shire of Coolgardie Presi...dent Malcolm Cullen and CEO James Trail as well as City of Kalgoorlie Boulder Mayor John Bowler and CEO John Walker. My colleagues and fellow Shadow Ministers, Zak Kirkup, Dean Nalder, Tjorn Sibma and David Honey also made time out of their day to meet with everyone too.

24.01.2022 It’s certainly been a busy week, Earlier in the week I also had the pleasure of attending a dinner hosted in Kalgoorlie Boulder by the Minderoo Foundation @Thrive by Five program. They have been in the city this week to host a series of events and workshops around their Early Childhood programs and campaign. I enjoyed meeting Jay Weatherill (former Premier of South Australia), and his colleagues Melissa, Juan, Saeed, Mel, Susie and Karen who are coordinating the campaign.

23.01.2022 Small Local Government Commitments Member for Kalgoorlie Kyran O’Donnell is pleased to announce additional election commitments for smaller local government electorates under a Liberal government. The Liberals WA and Zak Kirkup MP have made the following commitments Laverton $80,000 - Laverton Dirt Kart Track.... $50,000 - Laverton Short Term Shelter for Visitors from the Lands. Making sure Laverton Hospital gets fast tracked. Leonora $115,000 - Barnes Federal Theatre project. Norseman $100,000 Norseman High school upgrades to undercover area. $5,000 Norseman Pool for Equipment. Working to get Norseman Courthouse sittings reinstated. Plus we have already committed 4 million for important Eucla Airstrip upgrades. Leinster $10,000 Leinster Community School - Community Garden & Equipment. Coolgardie & Kambalda $75,000 - Coolgardie Equestrian Arena. $60,000 - The Harry Steinhauser Reserve Nature Playground. $5,500 - Aircon at the Kambalda Arts Centre. $5,000 - Kambalda Swimming Club. $2,500 - Kambalda Junior Soccer Club Goals. $2,000 - Kambalda Teeball Club Equipment. Continuing to advocate for the Coolgardie Shire Proposed Waste Facility. It is so important that our smaller shires also get valuable funding and assistance, The WA Liberals know that smaller local governments do it tough with smaller populations and collectable rates to so be able to assist them is very important to their bottom line. Our regions matter and by having such a big electorate, I do my best to make sure each area has projects that we can commit to if elected. I am pleased that the WA Liberals haven’t forgotten that these smaller local governments’ areas and regional people matter too. Shire of Coolgardie Shire of Dundas Shire of Laverton Shire of Leonora

23.01.2022 Last weekend I attended the Coolgardie Volunteer Fire & Rescue's community open day, as well as their 125th Anniversary celebrations in the evening. Thank you to all the vollies who keep Coolgardie and surrounding areas safe. It was great to see the community support for this legendary institution. A big shout out to Shane Munro (good-looking fella seated in the 3rd photo) for receiving his VFRS medal for 35 years of service

22.01.2022 Another great school holiday promotion from Boulder Promotion & Development Association !!

22.01.2022 Along with the Liberals WA I stopped this twice and I’ll stand up again. You can’t trust Labor to keep their word, they’ve broken it twice before...

22.01.2022 With school holidays starting Friday here is a great activity from KBULG for the kids (and big kids) to enjoy and have fun with.

21.01.2022 Christmas at the Park is an event I hold dear in my heart and am always happy to assist at each year. We started at 6.15am setting up gazebos, tables, chairs, kids’ activities and more. It was great to see volunteers there especially those from Saracen including Riley, Shae, Crystal, Angelo, Shane and Jalil. I was allocated handing out cool drinks and we were kept busy. ... Big thanks to the organisers especially Sarsha who was my main contact for the time and effort put in. It was a great day and glad we could make Christmas a special day for others.

20.01.2022 It’s Boulder Promotion & Development Association and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Christmas Street Party and Lighting of the Christmas Tree on Sunday the 29th of November and now he has his G2G pass and exemption, Santa has asked me to have his special Santa Mail Box there in Burt St Boulder. 19.01.2022 Coming to you live from a very dark main street in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Can you guess what street we are at? You’ll be suprised. And if we can’t get even our main streets lit up what hope do the smaller streets have. This is just another negectled State Government responsibility ...

18.01.2022 COVID-19 Front-line Workers Appreciation For our third appreciation round, we are giving away movie tickets to all staff at schools, just in time for the school holidays. Our school staff do a tireless job day in day out regardless, and we know that COVID-19 had posed a big challenge away from the normal school routine. ... They have stayed on at work during the early days of COVID-19 making sure that our kids' education are not compromised, and that parents can safely know that their children are at school so they can go to work. Instructions: - For all school staff - First in best dressed, maximum 2 tickets per person - Tickets to be collected at my office, 227 Hannan St - Show current ID - Can only collect for yourself The tickets are valid until November 2020 and each ticket allows a free admission to any movie. I hope you relax and enjoy yourselves. You've deserved it.

18.01.2022 I enjoy donating plasma and today it was a bit of a different experience! I was poked in my right arm but the nurse couldn't find the vein, so i had my left arm poked instead. Whilst it is disappointing that we don't have the facility to do so here due to the costs in maintaining a centre and the lack of nurses to run it, I urge anyone visiting Perth to donate plasma if they have the time to do so.

18.01.2022 This morning I attended the ANZ Australia's Tennis Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow at Boulder Primary. The Tennis West team handed out brand new tennis racquets to pre-primary students, who were all excited to receive them and hopefully is the start for a love of tennis for these young ones. There was great interaction between the students and 7 time Grand Slam Doubles champion, former doubles world #1 and Davis Cup Championship player and Captain John "Fitzy' Fitzgerald, who ap...peared via the big screen. It was wonderful to be there and I thank Tennis West for the invitation. #racquetroadshow

17.01.2022 Anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a DAD. Happy Fathers Day to the Dad’s we have, the Dad’s we’ve lost, the Dad’s that have lost children, to the StepDads that have stepped up, the Mum’s that do both, the adopted Dad’s, the Foster Dad’s that become Dad And not forgetting the brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, grandparents and friends that have filled the part. 17.01.2022 I recently was very fortunate to be able to host some of the GIFSA Kalgoorlie support workers and their lovely clients on a Saturday morning before they visited the Museum of the Goldfields. I really enjoyed spending time with these young adults and it was a fun morning. The team at GIFSA do a wonderful job and are very valued by our community.

16.01.2022 Thank a Policeman Day which should be everyday, thank you to our hardworking police, especially all the great police I worked with over the years. I loved my time as a Policeman and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

16.01.2022 Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas to all of you, wishing you a happy healthy and safe Christmas. Enjoy your day.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Georgia Potts who has been named as a finalist in the WA Training Awards 2020 in the category of WA Vocational Student of the Year. A lovely young person, Georgia was inspired to work in education support, having been diagnosed with dyslexia at age eight. Despite the challenges dyslexia presents, she loved learning and undertook a Certificate IV in Education Support at Central Regional TAFE. Now working at a primary school in Kalgoorlie, Georgia says that... the most rewarding part of her job is knowing she is helping to set students up with a positive start to their educational journey. Winners will be announced on October 6th - Good luck Georgia!

16.01.2022 Well done to the Kalgoorlie Miner on 125 years of delivering the news to the Goldfields. Here’s to many more years.

15.01.2022 I was pretty busy last Friday night attending all the junior sport at the Goldfields Oasis with some great commitments. The Eastern Goldfields Little Athletics had one of its meets and so did the Goldfields TeeBall Association (of which I’m a proud life member) Along with the Liberals WA and Zak Kirkup we have committed the following ... $100,000 to improve Oasis Lighting. $20,000 to improve the Little Athletics Canteen. $5,000 equipment grant for TeeBall. Regional sporting facilities and Regional people matter and I want to ensure that there are good facilities for our kids.

15.01.2022 Today I attended a service at the Kalgoorlie police station to remember and honour our police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. I also caught up with A/Snr Sgt Russell Hurst a former colleague of mine. As a former serving officer for many years, it’s a day close to my heart, important to myself and many as we remember many great officers lost too soon. ... 15.01.2022 Thank you to JT Taylor for inviting me onto his show tonight. I am my own man and I’m proud I represent a party that allows me to speak freely on what matters to the electorate I represent. Never be afraid to answer questions. Tune into Redcat TV each week as JT is doing a great job having a diverse range of people and subjects. It’s great to see these locally produced shows and we need to support them.

15.01.2022 It’s been a very busy day today in the electorate with a lot happening, first up this morning I attended the Eastern Goldfields Historical Society with the announcement of a GEDC REDS grant. The society has been awarded $105,000 towards the Kanowna Heritage Trail, a project I was very happy to support. In 2021, the society celebrates its 75th Birthday! It’s going to be a big year and getting this project up is great for not only preserving very important history but also fostering tourism in the Goldfields. Heritage tourism is growing and the Goldfields has been a huge part of many people’s lives and ancestry.

13.01.2022 Premier's Statement - Parliament speech - Thursday 15 October 2020 A budget surplus should mean that people and communities in the regions receive more funding for health, infrastructure and things that matter to us which are often overlooked. I had hoped that when the Premier was in Kalgoorlie-Boulder for the Spring Festival, that there would be a big announcement for our region. Unfortunately there was none. ... Here are some of my suggestions which were put forward in Parliament. Of course there are many other worthwhile projects that we would like to see come to fruition, I'd be happy to hear your comments on what extra funding can go towards in the Goldfields.

13.01.2022 Thanks Zak Kirkup MP for the effort in coming up this afternoon to help out at pre poll. The Liberals WA are committed to the region and despite not having a government jet or private plane Zak made it here to show that commitment. Hope you made it back safely and thanks again.

13.01.2022 Last Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending the Naidoc Youth Ball. What a fantastic night it was and it was just wonderful to see all the young people dressed up and having a great time. It was such a good night and it was a pleasure to be one of the sponsor’s. I felt very honored to be asked to speak and present the Belle & Beau of the ball with their sashes (how good is that red velvet jacket ). Well done to all organizers and to @Hope Community Services and heads...pace Kalgoorlie for the great job both organizations did. Looking forward to this becoming an annual event. 11.01.2022 It was so wonderful to be at the launch of Our Gems WA today. Please head over to their page Facebook page and give them a like and start following them. Also, more importantly head to their website and check it out. It should be the first stop for not just visitors to the region but those that live here too. www.ourgems.com.au... 11.01.2022 I congratulate and commend BHP Western Australia for initiating a revolutionary change to their recruitment policy to explicitly give preference to Western Australian candidates when applying for new operational roles within their WAIO, Nickel West and Petroleum WA assets with some exceptions including maintenance and project-based roles. As advised by BHP, the main policy principles include: 1. Western Australian candidates will be given preference for all positions. Where a...n interstate candidate is more suitable, the appointment will be subject to approval by the relevant department manager, and the candidate will be required to permanently relocate to WA. 2. Any new appointments will be required to reside in Western Australia for the duration of their employment, this includes interstate-based contractor conversions and internal appointments. 3. In rare circumstances, and subject to approval, an interstate candidate may elect not to relocate. This is by exception, and approval is required by the relevant General Manager or Head of Function, in-line with Policy exemption scenarios and criteria. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, BHP has offered financial assistance for interstate employees to temporarily relocate to Western Australia, which has resulted in over 800 employees temporarily relocating to Western Australia. As an ongoing measure, an incentivised relocation package is also available to existing interstate-based employees to encourage them to relocate to WA permanently. This package includes support with flights, removal of goods as well as other incidental costs associated with relocating. I cannot praise BHP enough for recognising the need to put WA residents first, and acknowledging the importance of having a residential workforce. This is a brilliant example for other companies to follow. #belikeBHPWA

11.01.2022 Unfortunately there is no JP service today at the office due to unavailability. Next service will be next week on the 11th of November.

10.01.2022 Liberals WA and Zak Kirkup MP are committing to lease land in Kalgoorlie-Boulder earmarked for the future expansion of Pringle Village by Goldfields Masonic Homes, within 30 days if elected. Pringle Village is one of the best examples of the use of regional funding I have witnessed. It is so popular that the waitlist is miles long (around 200 people!) and it is an absolute no-brainer that we need to expand the village and provide more homes for pensioners and retirees. Region...al areas need to encourage our seniors to keep living in the community where they have worked and contributed to, and close to their families and support system. The residents of the village whom I had spoken to are all very happy living there. We are also well aware of the housing shortage in the regions, therefore the homes that Pringle Village residents move out from and sell can provide much-needed housing. I am a big big fan of Pringle Village because it was an outstanding use of local building trades and products. It is a winner from all sides and I believe this success story can be replicated around the state for quality regional senior living.

09.01.2022 This morning I dropped off several items to the Goldfields Women's Health Care Centre for their wonderful team to make up care packs which are going to women in need all around the Goldfields. The GWHCC is mostly after donated handbags, hygiene products, care products, makeup and hand sanitisers. If you would like to donate some, you can drop them off at the Kalgoorlie Guardian Pharmacy (corner Brookman and Wilson Street). A big thank you to the GWHCC team for doing such a f...antastic act for our community. Do you know that the Health Care Centre is not for women only? They welcome men as well so don’t be shy about dropping in to find out more about the great things they do.

A Liberal Government will ensure regional areas aren’t forgotten. If re-elected I will be holding all political parties to account to keep the promises they made.

06.01.2022 Congratulations on all those from my electorate nominated for the Western Australian Regional Achievement and Community Awards this year. 06.01.2022 Another poor badly thought out decision of the McGowan Labor Government was to centralise decision making for the NDIS (national disability insurance scheme) to a call centre in Geelong (yes in Victoria - hardly local). This reversal of the previous Liberal Govts decision for more localised decision making has been a backward step for this vulnerable sector. This backward step has been particularly stark across regional areas particularly those which had benefited from the L...iberal Govts My Way Trial in the delivery of NDIS through localised co-ordinators. Then the McGowan Labor Govt has gone even further dissolving the Disability Services Commission and creating a mega Dept of Communities overseen by 5 Ministers (which they claimed was to reduce costs in the public services sector which has actually blown out, but that’s another issue). The WA disability sector deserves better. Regional disabled people and their families deserve better. The Liberals WA plan is to re establish the DSC and a dedicated department to deal with the unique challenges of this sector which has served the 411,000 people with a disability over 25 years. More localised decision making and better outcomes for the disability sector is an important issue and along with party leaders Zak Kirkup MP and Libby Mettam and my liberal party colleagues, we will continue to fight for if re-elected on Saturday. Regional areas matter and regional people with disabilities matter too!! We have a plan at least - Here’s our policy ; https://www.waliberal.org.au//liberals-commit-to-re-estab/ Myself with my good mate Dwayne at the GIFSA Kalgoorlie colour run last year

05.01.2022 Tired of seeing your power bills going up? Did you know Western Australia has had the highest increase of electricity charges of any state in Australia under the current government? The Liberals WA have announced a Plan for Cheaper Power Bills. The Plan is all about giving you choice, which creates competition, drives innovation, and delivers efficiency. Choice makes bills more affordable because providers have to compete for your business.... Under the Liberals, you will have the power to choose cheaper and greener bills. Find out more www.waliberal.org.au/cheaperbills

05.01.2022 Liberals WA have pledged $570,000 in funds towards much-needed upgrades for the Goldfields Women's Refuge. The Women's Refuge are such an essential service, often the port of call for women and their children in crisis. The many times I have visited the refuge such as donating to their Foodbank Program, visited with the Hon Liza Harvey to tour the facility and the opening of their op shop Monica's place, I am blown away by the passion of the staff and how appreciative the wo...men and the families I spoke to were of the services. The current building needs to be expanded, and the funds will go towards a better outdoor area for families as well. Hopefully there will be enough to build another level on top of the existing facility to create more rooms. Most of us are very fortunate to have never been in a situation where crisis accommodation is needed, but this doesn't mean it does not happen to some. We need to work together to ensure facilities are adequate, safe and comfortable and I urge all sides of politics to support the Goldfield's Women's Refuge in their expansion plans.

05.01.2022 NATIONAL CHILD PROTECTION WEEK 6-12 SEPTEMBER 2020 Under this year’s theme of ‘Putting children first’ we invite all Australians to look at how they can prioritise children in their lives and communities and to engage in National Child Protection Week as individuals, and as part of families, organisations, communities and society.... Putting children first means prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children. To grow up well children need to feel safe and loved, have a chance to play and explore, have a say in decisions that affect them, and access to essential things like food, shelter and healthcare. For children to thrive we need to come together as a community and put children’s needs first during National Child Protection Week and every week. 01.01.2022 Today we celebrate International Women`s Day worldwide. I am fortunate to have two wonderful women work in my office and to be honest I’d be lost without them. I’m fortunate to have some wonderful women in my life that support me. Quite simply women can do anything and it shouldn’t take a special day to recognize this. ... But this is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women from all walks of life, and also highlight the day-to-day problems they face in the professional environment. I hope this day challenges people to think about this and it is something we all should be aware of and working to improve. The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge Challenge brings awareness and it should bring change. So let's all #ChooseToChallenge, #internationalwomensday2021 #choosetochallenge #iwd2021#bethechangeyouwanttosee
