25.01.2022 Nice to get a birds eye view of the 9Ts current job. You will notice patches with very little growth, same seed rate was applied here but Lloyd has noted different soil types throughout the paddock and in particular where the seed is slower to respond. The strip to the right was done just before a break was taken to clean out an empty dam that was of risk to cattle. This strip has also had slightly more rain on it .... So many factors come into the growth of spread seed. Thanks to Cody from Action Helicopters for the pics. If your after a good pilot to take care of your chopper needs, Cody is the guy for the job!

23.01.2022 Did you know that with the drafted Reef regulations, your name, permit and lot/plan details will be added to the public register of environmental authorities, a...longside mining and regulated waste permits? The Queensland Government has now released the requirements for permit applications for new or expanded cropping in GBR catchments. Your urgent feedback is needed before Wednesday 17 Feb. Basically, if you want to cultivate new or old farming areas across GBR catchments after 1 June... There are four types of permits, with NINE required standard conditions to be met. You/r activity must: - not be within at least 5m of the defining bank of a natural waterway. - have a waterway buffer present between the defining bank of all downslope waterways and the edge of any adjacent cropping or fallow areas. - work to avoid and mitigate soil loss and surface water run-off, before planting crops for the activity and during preparation. - have maintained erosion and sediment control measures where an ERA standard is not in effect for the cropping or horticulture. - work to avoid and mitigate the loss of irrigation water to natural waterways. - keep required plan(s) of the area, showing cadastral lot(s) boundaries, activity area(s) within the cadastral lot(s) boundaries, irrigation and drainage areas, natural waterways, receiving waterways, downslope waterways, and waterway buffers. - keep required plan(s) current at 1 November each year. - provide any required plan(s) to authorities on request. Applications will take 20-40 business days for government assessment... IF no further information is needed. There is a narrow window of consultation until Wednesday 17 February. 23.01.2022 After a few weeks of building on this day 4 years ago Earnus had his canopy fitted ready to head to work. Geez wasn't he clean and glowing back then.

22.01.2022 Beautiful to see one of our dams nearly bywashing for the first time. Its been a long time coming.

20.01.2022 Sheila and Cheryl have worked many hours side by side. From being hooked up together pulling to one pushing trees off fence lines and the other following along with the rake on, these girls make a great team.

18.01.2022 The rain is ever so gratefully appreciated but man does it make things difficult mid dam clean out. The boys have been working flat out with the D9, Digger and side tipper trying to beat the weather but unfortunately mother nature had other plans, 2 days and we would have been out of there

15.01.2022 Time flies....... 4 years ago today, Earnus sunk the cutterbar for the very first time.

15.01.2022 Quick drop in to the job site on the way home from school pick up. Love the sound of falling trees Currently in the Emerald area if your looking for some experienced operators to take on some landscaping Give Lloyd a call on 0427166978

05.01.2022 Col has this patch of stick raking coming up real nice

03.01.2022 Throw back to September 2019 when we first sunk Sheila's cutterbar into the ground at Mt Enniskillen. A few cat drums welded together were the perfect width for a seeder and got the job done. Time is precious on the job, having a seeder built wasn't an option. The paddock came up real nice

02.01.2022 Thanks for all the shares guys.... Position has been filled. LA Dirt Rats is looking for an experienced dozer operator for a few weeks with the possibility of longer. Must have stickraking experience, be self motivated and reliable, have drivers licence and be willing to camp out of town. For more details contact Lloyd on 0427166978

01.01.2022 Starting to see nice little shoots of Silk Sorghum and Buffle popping up. Cattle will be licking their lips
