23.01.2022 Beautiful Beerburrum with Joe, Stacia and Bella. Stick with Annastacia!
22.01.2022 G'day folks. Unfortunately I've failed to get us over the line in Glass House once again. I'd like to extend a heartfelt thanks to my volunteers, branch members and supporters for their incredible work throughout this campaign. Thanks to all of you who gave your vote to Labor. While you don't have a Labor representative in Glass House, you do have Annastacia Palaszczuk returned as Premier. Special thanks to my incredible wife Christina and my tireless campaign manager Danny for their superb work - yet again. I definitely won't be back for another run, so this is farewell. Cheers, Brent

11.01.2022 Happy World Teachers’ Day! Teachers at The Woodford P-10 State School will be pleased to hear that the Palaszczuk Labor Government will spend a further $200,000 on upgrades at the school. Yesterday I caught up with Woodford teacher Liz and Dr Anthony Lynham MP for a quick chat about this great news.
10.01.2022 Glass House Mountains locals have been asking for a pathway to Beerwah for years. A re-elected Palaszczuk Labor government will get it done. Walking, running, cycling, mobility scooters - however you like to get around. And with our stunning Glass House Mountains as the backdrop it'll be a great drawcard for tourists too. Have your say on design and features now: https://www.yoursay-projects.tmr.qld.gov.au//beerburrum-la
08.01.2022 Beautiful day for a vote here at the Maleny pre-poll! Great to have the support of Minister Mark Ryan MP and former Minister for Health Wendy Edmond.
07.01.2022 UNDECIDED ON YOUR VOTE? HERE'S A QUICK NOTE FROM ME TO YOU. I hope this note finds you in good health, good spirits, and a reasonable financial position given the extraordinarily tough circumstances of 2020.... My name’s Brent Hampstead and I’m a member of the Labor Party. I live on a little property in Maleny with my wife Christina. My mum’s family moved to the area back in 1908, but I grew up in the rough and tumble housing commission suburb of Woodridge, down in Logan. I worked in the music industry most of my career, although the past few years I’ve been employed by the state government. You probably hear this almost every time you go to vote, but you have a really important decision to make this election. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has done an amazing job keeping Queenslanders safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. And now the Premier and her Labor team have a clear, comprehensive and fully funded plan to lead Queensland back on the path to economic prosperity. That plan includes massive job-creating projects such as the Beerburrum to Nambour rail duplication, six-laning the Bruce Highway from Caboolture to Steve Irwin Way, the Beerwah State School intersection improving Maleny-Kenilworth Rd at Cambroon, and spending millions in upgrades on the D’Aguilar Highway and Steve Irwin Way. Labor will hire record numbers of teachers, record numbers of police, more nurses, more doctors and more ambos. Labor will help your kids get into work by offering free TAFE for anyone under 25, and a massive $140 million package to support small businesses. Labor will build you a $35 million satellite hospital in Caboolture, a new PCYC. The equation is simple at this state election. If you want to keep the trusted and respected Annastacia Palaszczuk as Queensland Premier, you need to vote Labor on October 31. Kind Regards, Brent
05.01.2022 Labor supporters ROCK!! Thanks to everyone who's out doing roadside stalls, staffing pre-poll booths, and prepping for election day. You are all amazing people.
05.01.2022 In 2017 I lobbied to get the Maleny rural firies a new home. In 2020 we're about to start construction on a $5 million Emergency Services Complex, for the yellow trucks, red trucks & SES. Labor Gets It Done!
03.01.2022 October 31! Get It Done!
