25.01.2022 If you’re a member of Parliament and you need empathy training to realise it’s not okay to harass people, then you shouldn’t be a member of Parliament. This is the problem with the Morrison Government. The fish rots from the head, and this Government is so very rotten.
24.01.2022 Today is International Women’s Day. This year marks 100 years since Edith Cowan was elected as the first female member of any Parliament in Australia. It is onl...y fitting that this year’s theme is women in leadership. Less than a third of current sitting State MPs are women, and WA Labor is doing the heavy lifting. At this years election, women make up 51% of the candidates that the WA Labor party is putting forward. Without a swing this Saturday, 45% of WA Labor MPs will be women after the state election this weekend. While we have come a long way since Edith Cowan’s day, we still have a way to go if we want to achieve gender equality not only in Parliament, but across the entire community. It is now up to all of us to continue creating that change in the community.

14.01.2022 A fantastic and humbling parting gift from local Collie artist DC Cook that will take pride of my place on one of my walls at home. It means a lot to me that th...e people in my community believe I've done a good job because that's who I've been working hard for and seeing a growing level of optimism within our community makes it all worth while. Collie is full of great people, doing great things to ensure our town has a thriving future.
14.01.2022 As the election campaign comes to a close I am out doorknocking with my old mate Jan. Together in 2017 we visited around 8000 people so today is just like old times!
12.01.2022 Well done to the new Member for Collie-Preston!

05.01.2022 We have so much potential to make the most of our natural resources, and to create secure jobs for generations of Australians. The future can be made in Australia. Only a federal Labor Government can make it happen.
04.01.2022 It was great to catch up with my colleagues Sally, Alannah and Jodi, and acknowledge the amazing contribution they make to our community this International Women’s Day. Wherever you look in the South West you’ll find women who are at the forefront of making our region a great place!

01.01.2022 BORDER REOPENS Interstate borders are now open after Western Australia eased restrictions with Victoria overnight. From today, travellers from all states and te...rritories are free to enter Western Australia without the need to quarantine - provided they have a G2G pass. Last week, Mark McGowan said the travel permit system will be in place for some time and will depend on health advice. "That's at the end of the pandemic. We don't know when that is at that point in time. But we're going to continue to be very cautious about these things," he said. From today, capacity limits will also be increased to 75 per cent at indoor and outdoor seated venues - including entertainment venues, bars, places of worship and stadiums. The two-square-metre rule will continue to apply to all other unfixed seating venues, like nightclubs, music events, galleries, the zoo and the casino. It comes as NSW recorded zero new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours after a security guard returned a positive infection yesterday. And Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says 86 close contacts of a Brisbane doctor who tested positive for COVID-19, have returned negative results with more test results still to come.
