24.01.2022 Isn't this EPIC?! What animal should he build next? Wheatbelt artist Jordan Sprigg made this incredible giant metal sculpture of an extinct African rhinoc...eros from scrap metal and recycled parts. DETAILS | https://ab.co/2JlGChS The white rhino weighs more than 700kgs, and took 500 hours to create. It's made of chain, old tools, farm machinery, car parts and sheet metal. Jordan says he was inspired to represent the power and size of the rhinoceros. "I am drawn to the dangerous, wild, big, larger animals. I mean, the rhino reeks of that," Mr Sprigg said. "There's so many animals out there that I want to do that I haven't done yet." We encourage artists to submit up to two new or recent works that have not been exhibited before. Gallery staff will select one work to be exhibited.
