21.01.2022 LVR AGM 2020 will be available to members who can't make it by an FB Live broadcast. A private group has been set up for this purpose, so if you are interested please PM us or email [email protected] to get an invite.

19.01.2022 Tonight at 18:21, LVR service 8L16 arrived into Sydney Terminal 15 minutes ahead of schedule after 5 days and 1600km of rail cruising. All that went into just running the train would have been enough, and in coming days we will attempt to thank those involved. For now we will start with this pair: Simon and Danielle of Vintage Rail Journeys. Together we have not just run a train - but launched a new brand AND given birth to a new major tourism product for NSW! Well done is somewhat of an understatement!!

15.01.2022 LVR was live.... Due to restrictions on number for a COVID-safe AGM, the event has now reached capacity. More updates to follow on the prospect of streaming the meeting for any LVR members who might miss out.

14.01.2022 Just waiting for a train. Thanks to Ian Wilson for the shot!

13.01.2022 Today saw the completion of FS 2126’s lift and mechanical work. It wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance of Transport Heritage NSW and the Thirlmere workshop team under the leadership of workshop manager Ben Elliot. The team on the ground put in a phenomenal effort for which the LVR are grateful for. Many thanks lads! The guys who made it all happen: [L to R] Cash Williams, Jake Cross, Mark Stapleton, Ben Elliot, Mick Potter, Daniel Valenzi, Brody Magyar, Bernie ...Mctackett, John Gray and Zane Fox. (Absent Paul Gray and Jeff Sneddon) Some of the work completed was; draw-gear packages renewed at either end, both bogies have had all dog bones rebushed, an inner bogie spring has been replaced, both yokes bored and bushed and new auto coupler bushes made and fitted.

06.01.2022 A productive couple of days for the Secretary Treasurer catching up with notable supporters of the LVR at Orange. Yesterday it was David Hill, former boss of the SRA with plenty of war stories to share and recollections of rides on CPH’s around the state. Today John met with Phil Donato MP and both conversations explored how to quantify the dollars and jobs impact on the future tourist & heritage rail offered from Orange East Fork as the operational base. Thanks to both gentlemen very much for their continuing support for the LVR and our sector.

01.01.2022 Today the LVR owes a thank you to our friends at Transport Heritage NSW. THNSW were kind enough to allow LVR to borrow some workshop space to lift and inspect FS2126 as part of our routine maintenance schedules. Assisting the rail sector is just a fraction of the great work THNSW continually provide across heritage transport modes in NSW. ... We appreciate the help!
