24.01.2022 Been another massive week, here’s some pics of some gear and upgrades

20.01.2022 Completed product, works a treat

18.01.2022 Had a bit of a problem with an open drive unit with flywheel becoming loose, removed and checked unit and found bushing in flywheel worn, reassembled unit and centralised electric motor for better airflow from fan. Unit started well but overnight unfortunately had an issue. Unit crankshaft held together with retaining pins also come loose creating an issue internally and conrods making a bit of noise due to loose internals. Isolated unit and removed compressor and stripped down, found the retaining pins worn, replaced with new pins, honed compressor. Lots of work done due to unavailable parts but got there in the end. Bit of improvising but it works

16.01.2022 Carried out some recent replacement of ducting and found it to definitely requiring the TLC. Changed out 22 Lengths of 300mm R2 Rated Flexible duct, all diffusers cleaned and dampers checked and set. Unit is going to work much more efficiently. 65 Degrees in roof space during the day and it showed on the old gear in there. Purring along now.

14.01.2022 Pays to maintain, Carried out a compressor change and a bit of tidy for this unit. Came up a treat.

13.01.2022 Ready for another week

09.01.2022 Nearly completed this install, 70kw unit. Happy days all going smoothly, interrupted over the weekend by a catastrophic breakdown it’s been a massive week and a half. Completed photos to come

08.01.2022 Was privileged enough to jump on board and install these units for a business in town. Lots of hard yakka and long days

08.01.2022 Stay tuned, pulled in another good install.

04.01.2022 Been a massive week, had this compressor becoming inefficient and we could check what the issue was due to the discharge service valve failed. Recovered refrigerant from system (100kgs), Replaced service valve, disassembled compressor and found worst case scenario. Valve plates cracked and warped, heads warped, block cracked, shaft seal blown and coupling shims falling apart. Ended up replacing compressor with reconditioned, installed new oil filter and pipes in, replaced dis...charge line due to pitting, wrapped suction line, re-insulated access to evaporator. Aligned coupling and gave compressor bed a paint and finished copper piping with a clear coat. Fired up system and checked operation and found a faulty high pressure valve internal in new compressor failed. Disassembled suction manifold and removed valve and replaced. Started system, unit has become more efficient and effective. Vibration eliminators installed at condenser and compressor as system was vibrating whole building due to solid mounting. Pretty happy with end result. Time for a clean up See more
