12.01.2022 We would love to thank Father Paul and the Anglican Diocese of Riverina Parish for their incredibly kind and thoughtful gift of two dwarf apple trees. When asked what resources we needed for the children, we reflected on our beautiful service and realised toys were not needed. However a gift that would continue to provide for all of our children for years to come would be a fruit tree. We did not expect the generosity of one, let alone two trees, however are very much appreciative. These two trees will help us to continue engaging children in caring for their environments, growing and harvesting our own fruit, and continuing to promote healthy living through our shared fruit and vegetable morning teas. We cannot wait for find the perfect spot for these beautiful trees.

08.01.2022 HEALTH ALERT: NSW Health is urging all pregnant women and new parents to be aware of the symptoms of whooping cough and to ensure they and their children are ...vaccinated on time. Despite almost 95% of infants now vaccinated, outbreaks still occur every 3 to 4 years as community immunity wanes, with recent high numbers indicating an outbreak may be on the way. In October 2018 almost 800 people in NSW were notified with whooping cough the highest number since October 2016. What are the symptoms? Whooping cough usually begins like a cold with a blocked or runny nose, tiredness, mild fever and a cough. The cough gets worse and severe bouts of uncontrollable coughing can develop. Coughing bouts can be followed by vomiting, choking or taking a big gasping breath which causes a "whooping" sound. The cough can last for many weeks and can be worse at night. Some newborns may not cough at all but they can stop breathing and turn blue. Some babies have difficulties feeding and can choke or gag. Older children and adults may just have a cough that lasts for many weeks. They may not have the whoop. #WINNews6pm
