24.01.2022 REAL LIFE STORIES A 60-year-old male was driving a 4WD at night during a storm. He had been consuming alcohol. He approached a causeway that was flooded by a ne...arby swollen river. There were warning signs and depth markers in place but the driver was familiar with the road and had driven through floodwaters on this road previously while driving home. On arriving at the flooded causeway, which was running higher and faster than usual, the man drove into the water. The force of the water caused the car to flip, trapping the occupant inside and he drowned. Driving through floodwaters is dangerous. Dont take the risk. 02.01.2022 Please know where your child is at all times - especially if they are wearing a green arm band, walk over check on them make sure they are ok and make sure they know where you are too, especially on a busy day. And remember if your child is wearing a yellow arm band you are required to supervise within arms reach at all times.
