Take a drive through suburbs such as Mt Lawley, Menora etc; to see how cool, not to mention aesthetically pleasing, a suburban street can look like with trees! 24.01.2022 The day has arrived! From 2-4pm this arvo, come down to Delona reserve, Lakelands for a free hot dog and drink, have a go on the giant games, chill out in our ‘chill zone’ and most importantly find out how you can become a member of Lakelands community garden!

21.01.2022 ‘Gardening For Mental Health’ Did you catch us at the Mental Health Week Celebrations at Lakelands Shopping Centre on Thursday? Lakelands Community Garden Committee members had a great time assisting those who stopped by to pot their very own plant cuttings of Chocolate mint, Rosemary, Pig face, Citronella, Curry Bush, Pink Geranium, Arctotis, Money plant, Aloe Vera, and many more! ... We even had a visit from the Freedom Fairies on the day, they must of been hiding in the flowers we had! The simple act of putting your hands in the soil and being around plants can do wonders for your mental health, helping to relieve anxiety, stress, depression, and improve overall wellbeing! 20.01.2022 ‘Social farm’ or ‘Community Garden’.. Whatever you may call it, there’s no surprise they’re making a comeback in local communities all over Australia! People want to have more of a hand in the growing of their food whilst making better connections with their local residents, neighbours etc; Lakelands Community Garden is coming soon and we just can’t wait to share it with you all!

03.01.2022 The sun was shining, the snags were sizzling, and there was the constant chatter of local residents talking amongst each other at yesterday’s community bbq hosted by Lakelands Community Garden INC! Held at Delona Reserve, lakelands, and to coincide with national neighbourhood day, it truly was a great day, with many new faces and eight new members who signed up on the day! We would like to thank all our amazing sponsors and volunteers , Mandurah Lions club for lending us th...eir bbq trailer and assisting with cooking the snags, setting up etc; Coles lakelands, Lakelands Fresh, Priceline, Peet, , City of Mandurah, Bendigo Bank Halls Head, and Peel Health, we couldn’t of done it without you all!
