Failing to wear a seatbelt and child restraint Running a red light Illegal use of a mobile phone while driving Speeding Drive a motor vehicle fitted with a device designed to evade detection by a speed camera (14 points during double demerits period) Drive a motor vehicle in a manner to evade detection by a speed camera (14 points during double demerits period) The aim of the initiative is to encourage safe driving on long weekends and public holidays. "In late 2020 Transport for NSW notified Police of a driver who was detected on mobile phone detection cameras on over 40 occasions in the preceding year," Traffic and Highway Patrol Command wrote. 05.01.2022 Major news for classic car owners in WA! Starting early next year, West Aussies with a classic vehicle will receive a 75% discount on their annual licensing fees. Our ‘Concessions for Classics’ scheme will slash red tape for car and motorcycle enthusiasts with a street rod or a vehicle manufactured before 1990 and who are a member of a Department of Transport approved club.... The scheme will ensure even more vintage car lovers can hit the road with their street rod for 90 days of the year. The Concessions for Classics scheme is the result of months of consultation with the motoring community, and our Government will continue to work alongside them to implement to scheme. Keep your eyes out for it beginning in 2021!
