24.01.2022 Looking for a new podcast? After tips to help your children? The Department of Education and Training has funded a 10-episode podcast series through the Raising Children Network called ‘Raising Learners’. It features parenting experts from organisations including the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Career Education Association Victoria, as well as the Australian eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman-Grant.... Raising Learners provides parents with practical advice, tips and ideas for supporting children’s health, wellbeing and engagement at school and at home. Topics include how to connect with your child’s school and community, how to best support your child’s learning, what to expect for VCE and VCAL students and how to keep your child safe online. These topics were drawn from common questions that parents raised with the Department’s coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline and Parentline. The first three episodes will be available on 1 September and the rest throughout terms 3 and 4. Raising Learners can be accessed via podcast apps and Raising Children Network website.

Parking is still limited along Cleveland Street. The main gate to the office is out of service. Families who need to access the site will need to enter through before and after care.

17.01.2022 While doing my daily walk last week to check on the progress of our building, I heard a voice yell out Hi Linda!. I looked around to see a familiar face working on our new building site. Ex-student Zac has been working to help install the new air conditioning units for our admin and classroom spaces. 05.01.2022 With Stage 1 of our building due for completion soon, we have had a few questions from the community about the time capsule located near the front of our school. Don’t worry, it will be preserved before the next stage of demolition, reinstated in our new school setting and opened up as scheduled for 2034-2035.

03.01.2022 During grass pollen season between October and December, there is an increased risk of seasonal asthma, hay fever and epidemic thunderstorm asthma. It’s more important than ever for staff and students to manage any hay fever or asthma symptoms, as these conditions can produce symptoms that are similar to coronavirus (COVID-19) such as runny nose, cough or shortness of breath. The best way to reduce and prevent symptoms of asthma or hay fever and reduce unnecessary absences from school is to follow an up-to-date asthma action plan or hayfever treatment plan. If you have any coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, even mild, please stay home and get tested.
