19.01.2022 Over the Easter Weekend , The Higgins Family watched The Sound of Music for the Umpteenth time -however one of the famous songs in the Musical was rather appropriate for Lamiche - "so long , farewell , auf weidersein , goodbye " is very opportune as of today , Wednesday, 23 rd April, 2014 Lamiche is no longer - on behalf of Cherrill, Michael, Chris, Laura & Scott we would first of all like to say a HUGE thanks to our many chefs over the last 9 1/2 years - Dimitris, Mitch, Ja...son, Scott, Benson , Kathleen, Nathan , Kassie, Matthew and Mark - the many kitchen hands as well who were all part of Lamiche's amazing culinary journey - 5 Years Winner RCA Dessert Competition , 8 Years Winner RCA Best BYO Central Coast, 8 Years Winner RCA Best Regional NSW BYO, 3 Years 2nd Best BYO RCA Restaurant in Australia - 14.5 SMH Good Food Guide - without all these people's hard work, talent, dedication and enthusiasm this would not have been possible. To the many thousands of people who we have served , thank you for helping to create a dream come true. However there are some special people that we owe a huge thanks to - Laura , our daughter , who has always been so supportive and strong in good times and bad- Chris, our son, who has worked so hard , washing dishes, so many plates, cleaned the floor so many times and must have said " Yes Chef " too many times to count ( P.S. also thanks to Chris for the amazing jazz nights ) - but most of all to my wife of 34 years who has put with so much ( last minute grocery shopping, picking up fresh fish from the markets, driving so many customers home in the local area ) and mostly being so supportive of her husband's dream. We will miss you all and it certainly was a sad day for us as we locked the door of " Lamiche " this morning for the last time . This part of our culinary tour is over and a new one about to begin.
