22.01.2022 Today, we remember all of the men and women who served their country and those who lost their lives in the line of duty. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.... We also thank the ex-servicemen and women who continue to give back to their communities through their service with CFA. Lest We Forget.

19.01.2022 Don't put your community or emergency services personnel at at risk this fire season. The message is simple, if you fly, we can't! Flying a drone over the fire ground poses a major safety risk to firefighting personnel in the air and on the ground. If a drone is spotted over the fireground, all firefighting aircraft will be grounded meaning they aren’t able to be used for fire suppression while Drones are in the area. ... As a drone operator it is your responsibility to know the rules that apply to how, where and when an unmanned aircraft can be operated. https://droneflyer.gov.au/

18.01.2022 National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to say a very BIG THANK YOU to all volunteers who give their time to helping their communities when we need them most.... The 2019/20 fire season brought incredible challenges, which we couldn’t have faced without the critical role of CFA volunteers. CFA volunteers are our friends and family and take on many roles to fulfil our mission of protecting life and property. Thank you, not only this week but the 365 days of the year you are there for each and every one of us!

17.01.2022 20 years on we honour the dedicated men who lost their lives in the line of duty at Linton. If there’s one way we can honour their memory, it’s to ensure we con...tinue to improve the way we train our firefighters to avoid this happening again. CFA has come a long way since the Linton fire our safety procedures, communication, training and equipment changed as a result of this fire. The legacy of this event continues to drive our pre-season and ongoing training. - Steph Rotarangi, CFA Acting Chief Officer.

17.01.2022 As the last of the state’s fire restrictions are lifted today, we officially mark the end of our fire season. It was a challenging season for all Victorians, a...nd the total burnt area across the state was the highest since the Black Friday fires of 1939.
