22.01.2022 Actually there is recent evidence to suggest that the rocks at Stonehenge were set out by prehistoric surveyors (2500BC) using geometry and peg rope. Not Angry Birds!

09.01.2022 In northern Gympie region, we have achieved 0.5m accuracy of our cadastral model of 1800 rural parcels over 1000 square kilometres! An outstanding result (!!) - considering difficult terrain and the age of the majority of survey information being pre-1900. This is evidence of the power of GPS and digital information making management of local government assets far more precise. 03.01.2022 139 years ago to the day Ayers Rock (Uluru) was accidently discovered by William Gosse of the South Australia Survey Department. This was after they were required to start heading south to find water, after taking a north westerly route on an expedition from Alice Springs. Gosse named the monolith after Henry Ayers - a former premier of South Australia.
